In High Spirits

I really enjoyed this series - it’s fun, unique, and a little weird! That being sad, this was my least favorite of the books. It was a strange mixture of boring and yet not long enough. I wish the conclusion would have been drawn out a little more with maybe and epilogue from a few months/years later. But I still really enjoyed the book and series and highly recommend it! Especially as an easy, fun read!

These books had such passion. Her bravery was so fragile. I had to have them all. Fact can be stranger than fiction or make fiction a very good story. She is creatively brilliant an just a touch of romance.

Kate Danley's characters come to life once again - even when they are not alive! Once again, Egyptian immortality rituals are wreaking havoc in Victorian London. This time, Clara has to save her beloved Wesley from the hangman's noose. She does it with spirit - and spirits - and brings the case to a satisfying conclusion. The only question I am left with is this: if her housekeeper and butler decide to "move on", what will it do to Clara's finances?

The danger and mystery deepen as Claire and Wesley attempt to unravel the lethal threads surrounding several deaths, including Claire's first husband. With Wesley wrongly accused of murder and imprisoned, Claire had to pull out all the stops to find the truth and free him.

The only down side to this book is that it is the end of the series. The ending definitely leaves you wanting more. Perhaps we will see these characters again (hint, hint). I don't want to give too much away but if you like these characters and the plot, you will be very happy with the resolution.
