Excellent quality and material.
This is a great 3U heatsink for a dual socket motherboard. Silent and efficient. Highly recommended.

Great heatsink, poor fan
I bought this originally to use on a Supermicro X9SRI-F in a Norco 3216 3U case; however, I decided to use the motherboard in a Lian Li PC-9NB with a E5-1650V2, so though I could go bigger, I decided to use it. I ended up getting a X9DRI-F to use in the Norco with two E5-2620V2 with two Dynatron R27 (had to order direct from Dynatron as no one carries it yet). I also ordered a Dynatron K17 to use in a HTPC build with a E3-1230V3. The HTPC case requires a short heatsink, which explains all of the Dynatron purchases.Anyway, the actual heatsink for the R17, R27, K17 appear to be high quality units. The fans, on the other hand, not so much...one fan was broken on arrival. I removed the plastic bracket that the fan housing snaps onto and built a cardboard duct from the heatsink to the 120mm rear case fan (Noctua NF-P12).With the stock fan the CPU idled at 45C. After ducting the heatsink and venting the hot air out of the case, the CPU idles at 22C. Ran Prime95 to stress test with 65C being the highest temp seen.

Great for dual Xeon
I purchased these fans to pair with my dual xeon ASUS Z9PA-D8. For those not familiar with the board, it is an ATX form factor but houses dual xeon GPUs with dual 2011 Sockets. Because of the orientation of the board some coolers with not fit. The sockets are extremely close together as well as the DIMMs. I was able to use these without any issues and didn't even have to buy low profile ram. Installation was almost too simple. They came well packaged and no damage could be observed.Side Note: I found these because ASUS customer support recommended them.

Cooling My I7
This item seems to be working just fine for several months now without a hitch, doing its job cooling my i7 3820 processor and just what I required for my CPU case, because of limited space. Highly Recommended!

... was the only fan I could find that was recommended for the Dual LGA-2011 Socket CPU Asus Z9PA-DA Motherboard
This was the only fan I could find that was recommended for the Dual LGA-2011 Socket CPU Asus Z9PA-DA Motherboard. I had to face the fans in opposite directions to get them to fit so I gave them a 4 (Unfair I know). So far they work fine with issues after a few weeks.

Fits in a 4U case, which was the requirement
I needed a heatsink/fan combo for a pretty powerful core i7 (the 6 core one). All of the heatsink/fan combos where HUGE and wouldn't fit into a 4U case. This one did!
