My hair is very fine and slightly wavy
My hair is very fine and slightly wavy. If I put a tiny (smaller than a dime) amount of this on my hair soaking wet and follow with a bit of mousse, I can use a diffuser and get amazing curls! I like the Quenching Coconut Curls Mousse best - it's light enough to give a bit of hold on my fine hair, while the Diva Curls Mousse is too heavy

This Made Me Lose 1/4 of My Hair
At first, this product seemed like a dream come true. It smelt pretty good, held my hair in it's luscious curly state, and lasted for up to three days. However, I began to notice severe hair fall that came out in large clumps during my shower. Then I was realizing my hair began to grow brittle and would break off over the slightest tension. Just for the review, it is important to note I do not dye my hair nor do I use any heat styling products or harsh shampoos/conditioners. Everything I use is very natural and health conscious. I took a leap of faith with the Diva Curl Wave Maker (as it is not completely natural) and I could not be more unsatisfied. When I finally boiled down my hair loss to this product I stopped using it and my hair fall stopped within a few weeks. I am so so so sad over losing so much hair and really disappointed as I recently heard Ayesha Malik, the youtube hair guru, has also had serious issues with Diva Curls' products on her hair. Which her and India Batson's reviews for Diva Curl were the only reason's why I trusted the brand in the first place :/ So bummed and really sorry for Ayesha. I want the company to do well, but this was a doozie.

You win again, Florida Humidity...
I follow CGM to the letter, but only recently started using Deva Curl products. The summer humidity in Florida is always at least 5000%, and this stuff just doesn't cut it... Even with using an ample amount, I'm still a frizzy mess within minutes of stepping outside. It smells nice and isn't heavy, greasy, or crunchy, so two stars. Maybe it will be good to use during fall or winter, but for now, I'm going back to my huge $2 bottle of LA Looks gel.

Excellent for wavy girls!
I've used many DevaCurl products and this is one of my favorites. I run a bit of this through my hair while it's still wet in the shower, then dry with a microfiber fleece towel. My hair dries tussled and wavy, and does not feel dry or coarse. Very little frizz or flyaways. I highly recommend for air drying wavy hair.

Works amazing on my wavy hair!
I have wavy (almost curly) hair and this works amazing. I use the whole DevaCurl line, I switch between products depending on the look I want but I use this the most. My fav technique/combo is washing with Low-Poo Delight, Conditioning with One Condition Delight (Decadence if I've been straightening my hair and its dry), then while my hair is wet (not towel dried) I put in the wavemaker then light defining gel over it. After I towel dry with a microfiber or put it in a microfiber hair twist/wrap. If I want it to look super bomb, I diffuse with my Dyson Supersonic with the diffuser attachment (any diffuser will do, it doesn't have to be the devacurl one). My waves come out defined, not crunchy and has no frizz all-day & night. I will say though, after sleeping on my hair it does get frizzy (but that could be becase I sleep wild, lol). Also, a side note. I know theres this whole controversy with people saying their hair is falling out but In my experience, I've used practically every single Deva Curl Item except the hairsprays, dryer, diffuser, and wash day wonder, oh and the new super mousse. AND I use them on a reg basis. I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary and I actually get more compliments on my hair and its feels moisturized. This is just my experience and I will continue to use DevaCurl becuase I haven't had any issues and neither has my roommate and she has super curly hair. It does have a different approach to washing and styling, so following the directions is a must. I would def recommend!

Perfect Curls!
I’m not sure whether it was this product, or the matching deva low-poo & conditioner (or all three) but I’ve never seen my hair this curly!! I’m seeing a ton of definition and A LOT less frizz! I didn’t change my routine at all, just washed, let the condition sit a few minutes, combed with a wide-toothed brush, pressed extra water out with a t-shirt and scrunched this into my hair. This is after one use- I’m excited to see what my hair is like in a few months when this stuff is gone! It smells good too!

Failure
I used Deva products many time before. Wanted to try something different from the line and boy was this an epic fail. After using this product for a few weeks I noticed my hair was super dry, like hay. Even after I washed my hair with no product in, made my hair hard to brush. Which I never have had a problem with this as I don’t highlight my hair and get haircuts regularly. I put the product away and got another haircut. It’s in the trash now. Not sure what’s going on with Deva as it use to be a great line.

Very concerned
I'd heard about Devacurl and went to their website to see what products I should use on my thick, coarse, wavy, unruly hair. I used this along with the recommended poo shampoo, conditioner and definer ..... results were pretty good but that same day my scalp became unusually irritated. I checked online and discovered there are various lawsuits for a range of reasons: irritated scalp, hair loss, loss of curl, wave etc. I won't be using this agin

Used only once so far but really works wonders - gave me back my natural waves and volume, which I had lost to chemical dyes and products. A bit expensive, but still much cheaper than several trips to the hairdresser. The waves have also lasted for 4 days so far, including a two-hour intensive martial arts session with plastic helmet on - definitely a long-lasting fix!
