Dragonfire Log Grabber - 40" Long Fire Pit Tong with Durable Steel Shaft, Ergonomic Leatherette Handle, Triple Prong Design, and Heat-Resistant Black Coating

We got a fire-pit to use in our back yard. Tossing wood into it sometimes worked and sometimes it created a real mess. This Grabber has definitely helped. I have a pile of wood next to the pit. I use everything from 2" round logs all the way up to a 1/6th section of a 14" log. Those split sections are heavy, pie-shaped, and large while the logs are much smaller, lighter and round. The Grabber came in a reasonable time frame. It was packed loosely in a very large box. It had slid around inside the box and one of the holding arms had been bent in shipment. However, it was easy to bend that back into shape. While bending, I noticed that it did not bend easily......it was well built. This grabber has a spring that keeps the mouth open. This makes it very convenient to use, but it makes it a little less convenient to store. The handle has a hook for hanging the grabber on a wall. At first, I thought this hook could slide over the pull handle to lock the grabber closed for storage. However, the hook was installed vertically so it could not be used for that purpose. Storing the grabber closed (which would be nice when it is stored in the belly of an RV) would mean the spring is stored stretched which might not be good for the spring. The grabber is solid and can pickup larger pieces of wood without problem. You can easily maneuver the wood onto the fire and drop it exactly where you want it. I liked that feature very much. I also used the grabber to adjust burning logs right in the fire pit. The grabber is long enough so you can use it with a fairly large fire without getting too hot. I thought the leather wrapped handle was a nice touch. So yes, this grabber works well and makes building and maintaining a fire in an outdoor fire pit much easier.

Bought this item for my husband's birthday. A friend had one that he brings camping and my husband had his eye on getting one ever since. The seller reached out to make sure you received your order and it arrived quickly. This Dragonfire log grabber is very very similar to the 36" Pyroclaw Ultimate Campfire/Fireplace Tool but without the high price. It is very high quality, durable, and well made. When you look at other ones being sold you can see they are not very heavy-duty and would not last long. This one is built to use it. My husband is very fussy about anything he buys or receives as a gift and he is very happy with this. If you are considering buying one, get this brand. You will be pleased with the quality.

My husband loves his outdoor fire pit and has a distressing, lifelong habit of reaching into the fire to move logs. I’d like to avoid a trip to the burn unit so I got this for him. He really likes it. First off several reviews indicated this product was made in the US in Minnesota. It is not, it is made in India. The bottom two “teeth” on this grabber are fixed and that’s where any weight should go. The top clamping claw is simply to hold the log in place. If you don’t use this correctly, you will break it pretty fast. My husband is overall very satisfied with this and particularly happy as he had never seen this type of fire pit tool before. He is happy with the construction and the performance.

Best fire stick around. We know have one up North and one at home. Very strong and wide to pick up most logs. Leave it out side all the time and don’t see any rust. The look of it is pretty cool too. Comfortable grip and easy to use.

Awesome product for fires. Bought for RV camping and love it

Arrived with bent tongs. I was able to bend them back with ease using my hands, therefore I don't expect this 'pot metal' tool to last long. The jaws stay wide open when not in use, creating a large storage footprint. I used a zip tie to create a loop to keep it closed (see picture). The designer really should have just rotated the metal ring that is welded on the handle 90 degrees and this could have been used to fold down and keep it closed. I can't believe they made it this way! I thought maybe mine was welded in wrong but it appears to be the design based on manufactures photos.

For ANYONE that camps or does anything with fire, this is a life changing product. It works great

My husband really loves this. It's longer than his old on and very strong. Con-the leather on the hand started to come off within a few uses. It would be better if they used a full leather piece than basically a strong of leather wrapped around. But I would still recommend this one as it's easy to use and sturdy

It got deformed and became useless with one fire in my fire pit (a normal fire btw).
