Literally gorgeous!
It took a while for my awesome significant other to put this together, but he did a great job. It’s a beautiful book case, and it feels pretty sturdy. We did have to mount it to the wall in order to ensure it doesn’t tip over though. I don’t recommend just casually leaning it against the wall. The height is also great, right now we put some flowers on there until we finally get to move all of our books to the shelf. Highly recommend!

Strong chemical smell.
I hate to give this a less-than-stellar review, because it was very well packaged and labeled with no missing parts, but it is so very stinky I can't even put it together yet. It's been sitting out in our carport for a week, and it still smells so strong I don't dare bring it in the house. The couple times I've tried assembling it, I got such a headache from the fumes I had to quit. Don't know what exactly the smell is, but it's not the typical particle board smell other put-together shelves I've bought in the past had. It's a strong chemical smell of some sort. I hate to be "that" person that writes a review before they thoroughly used a product, but I felt I should warn others in case they are sensitive to chemical smells and fumes.

Assembly was rather easy
After reading all the reviews I planned for all of today to put this together. I opened the box at 8:46am. All pieces and parts are clearly labeled. Although the instructions are pictoral, they're easy to follow. I just finished at 9:31am. So I'm thinking the vast majority of all the struggling referenced in the reviews are millenials whose definition of a screwdriver is vodka and OJ. If you're thinking of buying this, the assemby is not difficult.

Well-Built and Great Looking
Remember that scene in The Blues Brothers where they exit their car and it immediately falls apart into 5,000 pieces? That's not this product. Seriously, it's heavy and sturdy, but was also quite easy to put together. Fun note: I actually installed the shelves backwards (with the lip of the shelf facing away from the wall, because why would you need a lip on the side against the wall??) on accident because I figured that's the way they were supposed to go, and only realized it was "wrong" when the instructions told me to fasten the bracket to the wall and then to the shelf - nevertheless, I like it the way it is and won't be changing it back.

Great find!
These look like real wood and are fairly sturdy but I do have some notes for other shoppers:The colors aren’t represented all that well by the pictures. We originally ordered brown but found that it was a deep red/orange color. Then we went with the walnut color based on customer pictures, not the amazon pics and the color is perfect. The formaldehyde smell is really intense when you open the packaging and assemble. I ended up needing to assemble these in the garage and leave them there for a week to off gas. After that, they are fine but I think it would be very unpleasant/toxic to have to assemble these inside a home or apartment and live with the smell for days on end.If you have baseboards, chances are the tops of the shelves will stick out about 1/2” away from your walls instead of sitting flush against them. We will need to lift the base up at some point so it can fit over the baseboard, allowing us to secure these to the wall but haven’t gotten around to it yet and to be honest, it seems sturdy enough without attaching to the wall. That’s it, and all said I’m really happy with this purchase.

Beautiful piece, but beware.
This looks so good in my living room! Now that being said...if you plan to use the drawer for anything other than a filling cabinet, beware. I did not read the description as thoroughly as I should have and while assembling it noticed that The bottom of the drawer is just a thin piece of particle board because it’s only supposed to hold files from metal brackets that hook to the top. I don’t put anything heavy in the drawer so that it doesn’t bust out of the bottom, but if you’re hoping to put heavy objects inside...I would reconsider this piece. I do love the way it looks and it’s modern style so I gave it 4 stars.

Check the contents and count pieces!
This would've been a great addition to my living room if I didn't have MULTIPLE pieces of hardware missing! What I did was check to be sure if all the wood was in tact and not damaged, I didn't realize I had to check to make sure the company distributed the right amount of hardware to put it together! Not only that, I went to 2 different hardware stores at 9 o'clock at night to get what I needed just to finish the damn thing and they didn't have the sizes of screws or bolts I needed bc they were out of stock. I'm going to a different hardware store tomorrow, hopefully, I can find what is needed but for now I have an unfinished product in the middle of my living room.

love it but the shelves dont lay flat across!
perfect except the shelving is slanted like the holes for the screws were made straight across the board when they should have been at an angle. If I remember I will take a picture to show. its not just because its not flat against the wall, you can tell because compared to the bottom drawer there is an obtuse angle going up and some things that I put on the shelves kept sliding back. In the instructions it tells that you can screw it into the wall but it doesnt really show how to very well because its just a plastic wall plug and I dont have a screw driver so I just left it sitting up against my wall and it stands up by its self anyways thanks to the bottom drawer. Overall I love it. The white makes my living room look bigger and brighter and I dont really care that the shelves arent at a perfectly right angle but thought it would be helpful to let others know and the selling so that maybe whoever is the worker putting the holes in knows that they are being put in wrong. Again I will try and remember to take a picture showing how the shelves are laying because when you look from the side you can tell that they arent flat across. It was surprisingly easy to put together and the instrustions are easy to read. Im a woman and I was able to do it myself in about an hour or 2. Hope this helps!
