Please read before you go out on the water!!!
Ok, I received this item on 10/7/21 took it out the following night for some lobster hopping in San Diego. Set up was easy, installation was basic. Now on to the problem. I set this up on the rear of my Hobie outback 2021. I also placed my hoops on the back of the kayak. When I went to grab my hoops the light piped off the rails and fell into the water. Initially I thought damn, ok, no problem I’ll just swing around and grab it. Well guess what this MOFO doesn’t float very long when fully assembled. You have at most 15 seconds before it sinks to Davy Jones Locker. You can imagine my anger as I saw 90.00 sink to the bottom of the bay as the light became dimmer and dimmer. All that being said, will I buy this again? Yes, but I will make sure to retrofit it with a pool noodle. Still very angry about the 90.00 but we live and learn. I have a rail system and this works for a rail system, I just won’t be putting any pressure on the pole. Hope this helps and don’t repeat my 90.00 mistake.

Overall pleased, but one major complaint
I really like everything about this setup, except for one thing - and I am amazed I did not see a single mention of this in any of the reviews I read: The on/off button is EXTREMELY difficult to use. Even just standing on the ground in my garage holding it with two hands I have a hard time with the button. It is ridiculously small, and wedged right up against an extrusion in the design. What I do like: Everything else: the pole is a little bit flexible, which I like (in the event of passing under branches, or if I am bringing a rod forward from the rear), the entire assembly is relatively light given the thickness, and the mini starport setup is easy to use (my first time with one of those, nearly everything else on my yak is YakAttack); flag itself seems very tough - but it does stay rather curled up...hoping that changes with use and time.If the power button was even the slightest bit user friendly I would give this 5 stars easily. But man, it should not take 30 seconds of trying before being able to simply push the button.

Learned a lot about Yak gear/Railblaza, great buy
I am really happy with my new visibility kit. I already had starports on my kayak, so setup took 2 minutes. The light I got didn't turn on, so normally I wouldn't give a 5 star review. However, I called Railblaza directly to ask them about it. The guys there are very genuine and personable. Even though I ordered through Amazon, they told me they would get it right and save me a return to Amazon. They decided to send me a replacement light and I got it the next day (we are both in Texas, so it may have been longer if I was in Wyoming.) That's worth the fifth star. Good product, easy set up, great customer service!

Pretty good light with minor issue
So, the light does what it is supposed to do. I like the fact that it can be mounted at various lengths, and it is extremely light weight. The light output is good, and the batteries last a long time. The only con with mine is the tiny button you have to press to turn it on and cycle the modes. To get the button to work, I have to press way too hard with my fingernail in just the right location to make it cycle. I originally thought it was completely defective because it would not turn on with fresh batteries in it. So, I learned that if I dig into the button in just the right angle with my fingernail, it does work. Because this is not always easy with wet hands on the water, I give it 3 stars.
