Mother in law had one like this for YEARS and it broke. wanted me to glue it.. it was the hinge that broke. thought it was easier to get a new one and amazon did not disappoint... they had this and it is EXACTLY like the one she broke.

I recently purchased the Diane Hand Mirror with Stand (6" x 10", Black), and it has quickly become one of my favorite tools for daily grooming and styling. Here's why: Pros: Double-Sided Magnification: The 1X side provides a clear, natural view, while the 3X magnification is perfect for close-up tasks like makeup application, shaving, or tweezing. Versatile Handle and Stand: The handle is comfortable to hold, and the built-in stand makes it convenient for hands-free use on a vanity or counter. Durable Design: The mirror feels sturdy and well-made, with no distortion in the reflection. The black finish is sleek and professional, ideal for salons, barbershops, or personal use. Travel-Friendly Size: It's compact yet large enough for a good view, making it easy to take along for trips. Cons: Not Fully Adjustable: While the stand is handy, it doesn’t allow for much angle adjustment, which could be improved. The Diane Hand Mirror came with a product label stuck onto the mirror itself which was hard to remove so I would have preferred that it be placed on the handle! The mirror can be hand held or it can be free standing by using the small fold up stand. It provides 1x and 3x magnification (front and back side) but for make up I'm thinking that other mirrors I considered which provided 7x would have been better but they were more expensive. This mirror is a good value for the price.

Perfect side for traveling. Takes up very little space in my makeup case. My old one just broke. I tried another brand that distorted terribly so I came back to tried and true

This mirror provides a nice clear image on both the magnified and non-magnified sides. I have been using it a couple of times a week for the past couple of months and I see no signs of wear on the hinged foot. Other reviewers have complained about the sturdiness of the mirror and that it can, or did, break easily. In my opinion, it does not seem any more fragile than any other mirror. Even a mirror with a metal frame and stand will break if you drop it or allow a child to use it. I use it while trimming my beard in the shower and it works extremely well. It's large enough to provide a full view of my face and small enough to fit in the drawer of the bathroom vanity.

The mirror reflects clear images, but that's about the only thing this product does properly. But since I literally own a mirror that no one can see themselves in (because it has such an extreme magnification that it is entirely useless), then I cannot in Good-Faith rate this mirror any less than 3-stars, because it is at least a fully functioning reflective device as advertised. It's just that the perfectly fine mirror is housed in a case of entirely useless flimsy floppy plastic. It might as well be "Candy-Coated" for all the practical purpose the "handle" serves lol. In fact, I think I will just break the plastic shell off of mine and wrap the edges in duct tape or electrical tape. That would unironically make it easier to hold, lighter weight, and more portable. Pretty shoddy plastic if you can be outdone by a foot of duct tape lol.

I have a similar mirror and was expecting solid cast plastic base. instead its this hollow base with plastic hinges that fell apart, it was never able to stand up. Absolutely terrible quality for the price. Got a better one for £2.49 from Superdrug.
