Cute series, my 7yo loves it
I really enjoyed reading this series when it was published on Webtoon a few years ago. I recently found it in my library and my 7 years old loved it so much that I bought her a copy. It’s recommended from age 10 but it’s very cute and simple enough for younger readers to enjoy it. Some moderately scary scenes, like when the king tries to have the witch mom burned, but nothing too graphic.

A Magical Adventure That Captivates and Delights
When I picked up "Hooky (Hooky, 1)" by Míriam Bonastre Tur, I was immediately drawn in by its vibrant cover and the promise of a whimsical adventure. Magical adventure with many twists and turns!
Review from my daughters, Paige (13) and Laly (10):Twelve-year-old twin witch brother and sister, Dani & Dorian Wytte, missed the bus to school. They knew their parents would get angry if the twins missed school, so they went to their Aunt Hilde's for education, but an incident happened at the Floating Rock (the Witches' prison). So, they became wanted criminals and had to find a place to stay.Paige’s thoughts: That's just the beginning of this magical adventure (from the digital comic platform WEBTOON) with many twists and turns! This series is getting better every time you turn the page. I snickered at all those jokes throughout the series. I loved Dani the best because she was often so funny at the most severe times. Sometimes, we need her sense of humor to overcome those profound moments. Dorian was a Mr. Know-it-all and showed off occasionally. And guess what? On September 5th this year, Hooky's third and last book was published. The third is my undisputed favorite of all the Hooky books I have read. The cover and plot are beautiful, and the ending (I can't spoil what happens) was bittersweet. The gorgeous artwork is a long graphic novel you will fly through. This series dives into friendship, family, good vs. evil, and love. It's a series I would reread more than once.Give this graphic novel series to fantasy lovers who love a rich, magical world and beautiful artwork.Laly’s thoughts: Each book was terrific. I loved the story; it was creative, and I adored the art; it was so good! My favorite character was Princess Monica because she was a vivid character with passion and love for her fiancé. She also had a perfect fashion sense! Nico was a funny character and a little tragic because of his backstory. Dani and Dorian were charming. They both were creative characters with their diverse personality. I also loved their matching outfits. The books are thick; you can feel the weight of words. The pages contain many words, so this graphic novel takes work. But the book is worth the words. It's a fantastic witch fantasy tale.Happy Reading, Paige & Laly 📚 ❤️

Great
I love hooky, I've read all of it on webtoon and I've been having all but the 1st volume and I was satisfied when I got it I will say I'm pretty sure the pages are made of different material than my other 3 books (I got 2 copies of the 2nd book) I've looked through I have read it physically yet so I am excited to reread. Apart from physically, the actual hooky books are amazing.
