Does the job
Does exactly what it's supposed to do. I used it to connect an old EPROM programmer with a 25-pin socket to a USB-serial cable with a 9-pin plug. Works great.

Easy Conversion from DB-9 to DB-25
I've always had good results with StarTech products. This DB-9 to DB-25 adapter is a straight through adapter, in other words, the transmit and receive lines are not crossed like with a crossover cable or null modem adapter. If you only have a DB-9 to DB-9 cable, use it to recreate the old modem cable (DB-9 to DB-25) from the old days. I use mine to feed my PC's USB DB-9 serial converter to the 25 pin parallel port on my old dot matrix printer. I also own a second one. I use it in the same fashion to connect my PC to my old Apple IIe Super Serial card which has a DB-25, 25 pin plug. Wonderful product!

Worked with no issues with an old modem. Glad I got it. Will purchase spares just in case.
