This is the best toaster we've had. It's really handy to be able to do four slices of bread of or two sliced bagels. If you get really big, fat bagels, they may not fit, though. We use it for them and also croissant halves. The fact that you can control each compartment separately is also a big plus. The settings are good. The only time we ever had any burning was when we toasted half a croissant and the end tip was small and got pretty dark. Since the slots are wide, I found it interesting that when you put something narrow in it, like a thin slice of bread, it actually has wire "cages" that move in and grip the slice in the center so it doesn't get too close to one side or the other and toasts evenly. It's quiet and the timer works well. I don't usually like to review my purchases until I've had them quite awhile and see how they hold up over time. This one is a keeper.

Great so far! Cost effective and reliable.. We just purchased this but have had Black + Decker appliances for a while. Even toasting throughout which has been something to desire with other 4 burner toasters. Uneven heating is an issue we’ve ran into with more expensive models but this is great!

I am quite pleased with this toaster, but there is one thing that I've found difficult. The knob that is used to select the browning level is black, while the indicator showing the level is a beveled indent. You cannot see what level you have selected - you can only feel it. I wish there had been a white arrow or some sort of visible indicator so it was the selected browning level was obvious. Right now, I am using a flashlight to see it.

I've been using the BLACK+DECKER 4-Slice Toaster for a little while now, and I gotta say, it's pretty awesome. The extra wide slots are great for bagels, thick bread, or whatever else I want to toast up without any hassle. I love that it has 7 shade settings—so I can get my toast just how I like it, from lightly golden to nice and crispy. It’s also pretty quick with 1400 watts, so I don’t have to wait forever for my breakfast. Overall, it’s a solid, reliable toaster that makes mornings a little easier and way more convenient. Definitely a good buy if you’re looking for something that’s simple, functional, and easy to use. Oh... it looks great too and is easy to clean!

This is the second toaster we have bought as we like the look and ease of use. Although our old toaster’s levers worked smoother than the new one. Maybe “time” and “use” Will make them run smoother.

Toasts my Trader Joe's multigrain gluten-free bread perfectly, evenly on the 5 setting. No burning, no redo. Finally! Gluten-free bread is smaller, thicker, and can be hard if over toasted. This works perfect, daily, over and over. Also works well toasting plain white bread, full sized pieces. Lower setting though, put it on 3. I like the silver black colors. Tough, I dropped it twice emptying crumbs...not a mark.

B&D is one of y favorite brands, in fact I have various items and so far I will continue buying this brand, but this toaster first fills cheap and the not to good part is that takes way longer to toast than the one before that wasn’t B&D, but works. For the price is ok but not 5 stars.

This is a wonderful little toaster, especially with the extra wide openings. They button features are pretty well straightforward and it yields fantastic consistent results for toast, which is the best part to me. Excellent buy and I would buy another one in a heartbeat. Let's hope now the longevity is the greatest feature.

The roaster was plugged in but off and caught fire one day less than 6 months after purchase. Luckily we were at home and could immediately put it out. One star because until then it made great toast:D

This toaster is made well and works fine. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for either a good 2 slice or 4 slice model.

Product is not meant for the Indian market. It is 120v with a 2 flat pin plug. Cannot be used in Indian households of 220-240v electric output. A waste of money. If plugged in it will blow/fuse.
