Why have I waited so long?
I've been using pre-vals for 11 years, and decided to not buy this because I have fingers... This tool does make spraying easier. It also allows you to hang the can and keep it from rolling away. It's the little things... Much less hand fatigue.

So much easier to hold and control
I sprayed most of a quart of clear coat using this grip on the Preval system. I had no issues with hand or finger fatigue, the sprayer was easy to control, and the trigger worked well. I would recommend this for any job greater than a tiny two-minute touch-up.

Lifesaver device
I finally decided to plasti-dip my old surf truck. This thing made it so much easier to paint evenly without pain. The price (once you factor in shipping) is about $4 more than the place with the big orange logo... so had I known that prior, I would have bought locally. But the product is good and well worth the price of admission.

Pointless cheaply made gimmick that produces terrible spray results
I bought this because its supposed to make spraying with a Preval for extended periods easier. I use it for clear and tinted lacquer and sealer on guitar It's made very cheaply. When snapped onto the Preval cartridge, the V-Grip depressor piece is off center. It doesn't line up with the center of the spray nozzle. Its very narrow, about an 1/8" wide, much narrower than your thumb. So it actually exerts far less force on it than your thumb would. It and the trigger have a lot of play in them. Because of this no matter how hard I squeeze the trigger the stream fluctuates wildly. Slow down because it seems to be spraying light then it bursts out and causes huge runs. Go slower than it sprays dry and gets no build. Even if it did spray perfectly, the idea it helps with fatigue of extended spraying is pointless. The Preval cartridges are notorious for getting cold in 5-10 minutes. This reduces the spray stream to near useless. You have to pause and let it warm up again. Bottom line, with the V-Grip, I got unusable results with massive runs which waste finish and took hours to sand out. Without the V-Grip I got Grade A results.

Handy tool
This spray tool is very handy, especially when spraying large areas. This is the second one I have bought. The first one lasted 8 years and is still usable.

Preval Sprayer Needed this to ease finger pain!
Bought to use with the mini hand held paint sprayer system called “ Preval.” So easy to use, on any can of spray paint! Preval system had some issues, but for wooden trim and casing, when the paint is diluted to go thru the sprayer, it drips a lot! I decided to run a 2.5” trim brush thru the final finish! It looks amazing. The Preval sprayer sped up the time and application of the semi gloss latex paint. It only took 2 hours to do 8 HUGE WINDOWS.

Great to keep hands clean and apply
No longer try to match spray paints , just use what’s on hand in the pressurized can and bottle systems.
