Tons of fun for a beginner like me!
I've had a blast working on this! The only issue we found with it is that the plastic ring allows for the cloth to slip. So you have to keep tightening it. Other than that it's great for the price!

Great for Beginners
I believe another reviewer said he was a 23 year old who decided to pick up cross stitch. I'm a 24 year old male and had similar thoughts for whatever reason. I really like the design as it's not too flowery and doesn't feature some silly quote on it. All in all, it's a nice little introductory kit for newbies (or I suppose more experienced cross stitchers who want something easy to do). The design is pretty simple, there aren't too many colors, and it comes with everything you need except for a pin (You'll be fine without one if you don't have a pin as you only need it right at the beginning). The instructions for the basic stitch are good; I had no trouble figuring out what to do. The other two stitches, the back stitch and French knot, are a little less clear, however, and that is why this is only getting four stars. The stitches aren't that hard to do, but they need more clarity. Thankfully, you can easily find better instructions on the internet. One thing not included I recommend: Cut your thread close to the holder and then separate those threads from the main strand. It's easier and it won't get tangled as often and, if it does get tangled, you can pretty easily untangle it.

Nice gift for a friend
My friend got Covid and was in need of isolation activities, so I sent her this. Itโs great because itโs simple enough for someone just learning but the design isnโt overly childish. She was excited to receive it.

Really cute
I bought this for my son who is learning how to cross stitch. It's a nice, small project so it's great for beginners.

Needle missing ... wait, it's NOT missing!
This just arrived, and it is more or less what I expected. Except that the product description says it comes with a needle, and there is no needle. Luckily, I found out in time, so can go to a craft store and buy a needle. But misleading product descriptions are annoying, so ... buyer beware!Later... OK, I was super-careful opening this up. But after I posted this review, I discovered a teensy little needle lying on the floor near my chair. Presumably it is THE needle for the kit. So rather than bewaring (or whatever the verb tense might be), just be even more super-careful than I was. It might well be there, and you can avoid putting egg on your face in an Amazon review. :-)

As expected, nice cross stitch activity for beginners
Liked the simplicity of the design, delivered very quickly. Note that the pattern is not marked on the aida cloth, so you should be comfortable with counting the stitches.

A cute little kit!
Bought after not cross stitching for over a decade. Beginner friendly though the image is not printed on the cloth (all you need to do is find the center and work from that). It's pretty simple.I would suggest using another needle than the one provided as it's pretty difficult to thread. I use an easy thread needle and it's just fine.Thread is okay, I guess. Snapped once and got a lot of knots, some of which I wasn't able to save. Ended up not having enough so I looked up a conversion into DMC colours and orders a bit more. A little annoying but the image has come out really nice and I feel like it's worth it.
