Really like my little fridge
It does not cool down a can of soda that well, so I bought a stainless glass that fits perfectly inside and since that bottom of the glass is flat, it makes contact to the whole cold plate better and cools the drinks I put in nice and cold. Just remember to put a little water on the bottom of the cup to transfer the cold better to the stainless steel glass. Very happy with my little fridge.

waist of money
i usually drink cans so i like to keep them cold when i do so i bought this thinking "o hey this would be great to cool and keep them cold as i drink!" BUT NOPE!! the thing is thought it hardly did anything to my cans for cold! it kept my can a little cold but took forever to get cold. zero instructions for it so when i tried mode 1 to see maybe if it would work better cooling for some reason. only to find out it has a heating element.. by the time i got to checking it my can was like it was sitting outside on a hot summers day. i get it was my fault for not fully reading the page of details but there was no reason for a heating element in it as it can hardly hold a can!. it would at most beable to hold a small coffee in a styrofoam cup but that wouldn't work for it as it would need to be metal to really get any of the heat from the little plate in it. your way better spending money on something else to cool and heat drinks then this. i plan on returning it.

It's fine. Hard drive space requirement seems odd.
Purchased as a gift to keep cosmetics cool. Here is the recipient feedback, "This serves its purpose. Though not at all cold, it keeps items that touch the metal base cooler than if not touching the base, especially a small container of face cream prone to melt in the heat. Buyer beware regarding plugging into a computer - instructions say hard drive space is required. This is unusual. Plug and play devices generally use RAM, not hard drive space. This item works fine plugged into a USB port electrical outlet."

used it to cool a chromatography column
Initially bought it to cool a soda can in my office, but quickly used it to cool a chromatography column to be able to separate components of mixtures in a lb. It will actually cool below 0 ° C but works at around 5 ° C with the flow of the column. Don't laugh, the alternative for column chromatography are coolers for hundreds of dollars!

Not worth it
Kinda keeps things cold, very noisy though. Not a very good product.

Good deal in my opinion
Very handy and reasonably priced. Good for 7.5 ounce soda cans.

This is a bhig waste of money
It does get just a tad cool but does not cool any beverages at all or even keep a aready cold beverage cool. It is better to get one of the six can Cooluli desktop fridges which also sticks into a computer but actually cools beverages. Mine also has a eletrical cord for when you shut off your computer and still keeps your drinks cold
