Can you sleep on this pillow?

I do, but only because without it my neck hurts so bad that I can’t fall asleep. It’s very firm and probably not intended to sleep with or comfortable for most people to sleep with. I usually wake up a some point in the night and swap it out with a small neck roll pillow after the pain has subsided.

Is this hard or soft? How soft is this?

Somewhat soft but not squishy. My husband uses it for relief of neck muscle pain.
