I needed a slim bin in the kitchen, to fit a tight space. When the bin first arrived, it looked small. I wondered, if it will be up to the job. Having tried it for 2-3 month, it is the perfect size and more than adequate. We tend to throw the rubbish out every night. Size-wise it is the same as my old bin (which was traditional cylinder pedal bin). This bin is well designed and well built. The foot pedal is solid and bin does not slide, even on high-gloss tiles. The bin is expensive, but it is worth every penny. I only wish Simple Human made a dual-bin for nornal and recycling rubbish. I need a bin with a maximum depth of 60cm (which is the same as a fridge or kitchen units). I love the fact you can use shopping bags, and it fits perfectly. I am amazed by it. Certainly one of my favourite purchases of 2012!
