Something I didn't know I needed until.....
I brought it!! What can I say! This is amazing! I want to first state that this is a product that I didn't know existed. Before purchasing this I used to put line on my reel by dropping the container holding line in a box and reeling until I had enough. I found that to be aggravating and my wife hated the noise it made. This makes spooling easier. Simply add the spooler to a table or a rod, you get two attachments so you can choose the way it works for you. I just use a rod but I can see the table attachment would be handy if you have a reel but not quite the rod or maybe you have limited space for the length of rod you are using. It works smoothly and gets the job done. So far I have lined my old lews spinning reel, a lews baitcaster and a shimano baitcaster. I used 20lb mono, 40lb braid and 50lb Braid. So far no issues with different types of line. Also the spool sizes are vastly different. In the picture I show a wide spool of 20lb mono 600 yards. It with with no problem due to the long rod that wholes the spool. I don't think anything would have a problem fitting. If you have been looking for a spooler, I think you found it. It is also an amazing price, sooooo, I don't think you would be mad about this purchase. If I had to buy it again I would, but I don't think I will need to because it seems solid. Even gives a few extra prices I believe in case you lose something. Anyway, hope you all like as much as I did. Cheers.

Just what you always wanted...
Have you ever been frustrated trying to change out your line on your reel? I have. Using a pencil or pen to hold the spool, or holding the box of new line under your foot to create tension as you wind is exhausting. Pulling the old line off by hand is tedious as well. Here's an inexpensive solution. I was able to attach it to my rod and wind (under tension) the new line directly on my spincast reel. This was practically foolproof AND did not require any help from my kids/fishing partners. It can be attached to the table but as expected, this is not quite as stable as using it "in line" on my fish pole.As far as removing line - it certainly is easy, but usually I want to discard the old line. This is set up to spool it to an empty spool they provide. As far as I can tell there is no simple way to slide the old line off of that spool, so you pretty much have to hand remove it from that spool to discard. I will probably just stick to pulling the old line off by hand.I give it a 4 star for ease of use, low cost but took a star away because the unwinding function isn't as handy as it seems.Update: I needed to take off line and save it - getting rid of perfectly good mono and swapping for braid. I used the unwinding function. It worked great. For what it sets out to do, It does the trick so I will upgrade it to a 5 star.

Mis-threaded Nut
UPDATE - You can seem my initial review below. After receiving the mis-threaded product, I used the return feature on Amazon and got the new one the next day. It worked perfectly. It was easy to use and it worked!!! No more twisted line. I have been fishing a few times and my line worked perfectly. I now highly recommend this product with one caveat. As long as you understand that the first one may have the problem I had below. If that happens, don't waste your time trying to make it work. Just send it back and get another one. Great product!!!Initial Review - I shouldn’t write a review when I’m frustrated but I’m extremely frustrated. I literally told my wife I was very excited about using this. I had read the reviews about the mis-threaded nut but I figured what are the odds. One of the nuts that holds the spool on went on fine. The other was a little tight but it was going on fine. Then it got tighter and then seized up. It would not go on or off. I thought I could just take it off and buy a new nut but it would not come off. I used players and a vice grip. The picture shows my failed attempt to remove it. My hands are bruised from trying to stubbornly get it off. I used the return and replace feature on Amazon. Hopefully I will get one that works. I will update if I do. I also kept the nut that works just in case. Im looking forward to replacing my twisted line but I guess I will have to wait.

Make sure drag is tight when spooling
So finally had a chance to review this product. Overall, I like it a lot. The instructions were basic, but simple enough. I first tried the function to take line of a reel. I liked this as an option, although you must remember to guide the line by hand otherwise it just takes it to the same spot on the fishing line spooler. That said, it was easy enough testing the ease of taking line off a reel. This can be a great way to redo a fishing reel, I think, and offers the ability to save existing line should you be wanting to switch lines on a reel. Much better than the mess you'd get if you were trying to use something else, such as a bottle, to manually remove line from a reel. Adding line back on to the reel is where I slipped up... I didn't tighten down the drag. Couldn't figure out why it wasn't working until I did that. Once I did that, I was able to add the line quite easily to the reel. This certainly will provide a much more stable method for spooling line. I suspect this is better suited for a baitcaster or spincast reels, as spinning reels are prone to twists when putting line on, and this doesn't rotate like some spoolers. That said, it's a well made, low-cost option, and with the unwinding function, I find this a highly interesting model that I think will be very useful for many fisherman. I know I will get a lot of use out of it, and I think with practice, I'll get a lot better at using it with all reel types, spinning included, so I definitely recommend it. Overall impressions are very favorable, and this looks to be a well made fishing accessory by Plussino.

Great product so far, be sure to read spool size details
Great product so far, be sure to read spool size details as this product only fits spools with centre 10mm or larger.Purchased as a gift. Has been used to prep multiple winter reels for ice fishing season. What use to be an annoying two person job can now easily be done solo.
