Wait and See: Finding Peace in God's Pauses and Plans Review: See God in your midst, AWEmazing book with Bible study include! - Wendy Pope walks you through the life of King David as he waited to become king. From the time he was anointed until he became king of all of Israel. This book not only teaches you deep Biblical truth, but it also allows you to walk with real life people in their wait, and see how they applied each principle taught. I love that the last chapter is written by the reader, in that you get to journal about a wait you are experiencing, and encouraged to write about how the principle applies to your pause. Wendy Pope also included a Bible study at the end of each chapter on a Psalm that David wrote during his wait, and that specifically applies to the principle within the chapter you just read. I highly recommend the book, and it will be a book you will read again and again. Make sure you have a hi-lighter and pen with you because you are going to want to be taking notes and hi-lighting every page. Review: A Must Read for Anyone Who Has Ever Experienced Waiting! - In this world of instant messaging, instant food, and instant access to news around the world, most of us find it difficult to wait for anything. As a Christian, I find waiting on God’s timing especially frustrating. In her book, Wait and See, Wendy Pope gives us a new way to look at waiting. It is not wasted time, but a time of preparation and renewal. Wendy uses the stories of four real people to illustrate the beauty and benefits from waiting on God. Through the Bible study at the end of each chapter, we also learn how David waited. Wendy’s conversational writing style and her poignant vulnerability give this book an intensely personal touch and easy readability. At the end of the book is a journal for each chapter—a great way to help the reader process the information and relate lessons learned to his/her life. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has experienced a period of waiting—for healing, for a job, for children, for direction in life. It has completely changed my thoughts on why we wait and how to wait well.

Such a nourishing and wonderful read!
Will this opportunity come available? Wait and see. Will my efforts finally be rewarded? Wait and see. Will I get that job/promotion? Wait and see. Will I meet my goal to_____? Wait and see. This is our life. We all have hopes, dreams, and expectations, but more often than not, we're stuck in a season of waiting. And waiting is hard. So. Hard. Reading Wait and See [affiliate link] was like finally having that drink of water when you've been stuck in the wilderness for so long. It's nourishing and gives you that little oomph to keep going. My soul needed these words, and I'm so thankful God used Wendy to speak to me in this season. It reminded me that joy is found in the journey--in tending your own pasture. Joy is found in the quiet corners of our lives, precious time spent with our families. We can't live for some thing/event, or everything will pass us by. Tiny, seemingly insignificant moments, are the building blocks of life, and a well-lived life is found in the present.

Wonderful book!
I received a copy of this book from the publisher and author but I also bought a copy for a friend who I knew needed this message. I am working my way through the book and I am really enjoying it so far. I am about a 1/3 of the way through. I love the digging deeper section after each chapter. I would definitely recommend this book especailly if you are going through a particularly hard time and feel like God just is not showing up. Learning to find His peace in every season of life is key!

Such a great book!
This book is such an easy read and has been so helpful to me during this season of waiting. I absolutely love the layout! I’m each chapter, there are a few pages of regular reading, then scripture references with short answer questions, and then lastly prompts to guide you in writing your own chapter! Definitely recommend!

Just the words I needed to pour into my soul!
Waiting is hard. Wendy's words from the Holy Spirit within her and her experience in the wait, helped me understand what I was feeling and comfort to know someone understood what I was going through. She helped me put to words the whirlwind within my flesh and spirit. I appreciated the probing questions of my own personal struggle with my wait and helped me make sense of myself. Also her consistent and persistent argument that in the wait God is still good. So good from cover to cover! Thank you and thank God for using your struggle with waiting to comfort me in my wait. I too will do the same when I encounter a woman struggling in her wait. Glory to God!

Amazing and so helpful!
If I could give it more stars, I would! This was such a great convicting book! Whatever season of waiting you're in, even if you're not currently in one at all, this book is amazing. It would be a great bible study book, but I read it on my own and couldn't wait to dive in everyday. It teaches you how to wait well and understand the process. It also teaches how to build your relationship with Christ during your wait, and give biblical examples of other's waits - some waiting well, others not. I cannot recommend this book enough!!

Great book that speaks to issues that so many people are experiencing. I love how she ties her issues with people from bible. She walks us through her live and David's life and they both manage their waiting in different fashion. If you are waiting for anything a job, healing from disease or that perfect relationship....I would recommend reading this book. Even if you are not waiting for something it is still a good read. This book push me to reflect on my life. We used this book for our women's ministry reading club and it has been a blessing for each of us in different way. Thanks Wendy great job.🙏🏾

I just loved this book so much, and it was so timely for me in my own circumstances. Nobody likes "waiting", we all want solutions right now. But sometimes waiting turns out to be the most spiritually productive season in our journey. I highly recommend this book to anyone going through a season of God's pause.
