SmartShake Jay Cutler (Black & Gold) 27oz Shaker

I ordered this simultaneously with the Cyclone Cup Shaker Bottle Blue 20oz and the Spider Shaker. This is the best of bunch for two reason:1) It comes with a key-ring and caribeaner clip, which makes it extremely portable. I don't typically bring a bag to and from work, so being able to clip this to my belt loop in the mornings is very helpful. Neither of the other two mixers have this feature.2) The "grate" (for lack of a better term) that breaks up clumps and is responsible for mixing, snugly attaches to the cover. In the Spider Shaker, the "grate" just sort of rests inside the bottle; it doesn't snap into place, and you have to remove it if you want to clean out the bottle.In fairness, I haven't actually used the Cyclone Cup Shaker yet, but as this and the Spider Shaker have three compartments, compared to Cyclone's two, the Cyclone is already inferior. Additionally, despite having a third compartment, neither the SmartShake nor the Spider are appreciably larger than the Cyclone.One final note, all I've mixed in these bad-boys is a serving (20 grams) of easy mixing grass-fed protein powder and some powdered super greens. Both the SmartShake and the Spider do a great job of mixing these and don't leave clumps. It's possible that your protein powder or other nutritional supplement you're using will mix better or worse.

It mixes well. I got this after having one of the shakers with teh wire wisk ball in the middle. This cup does quite a bit better than that, plus i can load my days worth of supps in it, and another dose of protein. Whats not to like? It does the job. Will buy another. Too bad it costs more than 5 bucks.Update: Have had it for a month or so now and I love it. No cracks, breaks, or anything. I can fit 2 heaping scoops of protein, and a scoop of BCAA into the storage area. Now people are asking me where I got mine. It is bigger because of the 2 storage compartments, but Im a big guy so its all good.

Honestly, this thing is just a beauty. Black and gold is a nice touch, its way bigger than it appears in the picture, and the compartments are roomy enough for a lot of protein powder, water, and supplements of your choice. I HIGHLY recommend this over the blender bottle as I have both and have since retired my crappy blender bottle.I use this bottle when I go to college,since im there the whole day the idea of carrying a supplements, protein powder and water separately is convenient. Also there is a compartment which im guessing is for ice, basically you put ice in and you don't have the hassle of chunks of ice being in your shake.

SmartShake bottles are great. They are durable, dishwasher safe and versatile. This one is no exception. The color of the bottle is easy enough to see through when measuring out your drinks and that to me is really the most important aspect of a supplement bottle. I use these daily for filling up water at my job and mixing pre-gym energy drinks. On the days I'm running late to work, I'll blend up 1/2 cup of oats with 1 scoop whey, 1 scoop casein, scoop of peanut butter and roughly 16oz water and the bottle contains it all perfectly.

Bought as a gift for a boyfriend, this shaker bottle is great to have to carry extra supplements, preworkout, BCAA's, protein powder or anything else you may need. FOr him, he would do AM fasted cardio with BCAAs in the main mixing chamber, with supplements for later in the day in the second layer, and protein powder in the bottom layer for his second workout that night. everything was able to be carried in one bottle instead of carrying with the BCAA container or protein in a plastic baggy, 3 years later and he still has this shaker, its his favorite and Jay Cutler is his bodybuilding Idol, so getting him this was an awesome gift

Let me start off with the Pro of this bottle, (and only 1 pro): Does not leak.Cons: After leaving my vitamins in the slot provided for 3 days the vitamens changed colors and got soggy and un-edible for some unknown reason.The bottom compartment for protein or whatever you use it for is barely big enough for my 1 scoop of mass gainer, when screwed onto the bottle the protein spills everywhere and gets stuck on the cap that screws on from the bottom.The first time I dropped the bottle (from waist high) it cracked on the lid and was un-usable, this is a $15 shaker, are you kidding me?

I'd say it's an inch better than blender bottles.I do think it's functionally great but it's overpriced.Consider this: how many times do you really need to pack your powder and not mix it right off the bat? At least for me, I just mix it before I leave the house. I don't think it makes much of a difference, so for the price I'd say it might not be worth to buy it. The only good plus for me at least is putting your vitamins in the divided compartments, but then again why not just take it before you leave the house in the morning?

This thing is AMAZING!!!! I have never had one leakage from it. The only thing that has ever gone wrong was on my first cup. The flap that you pull up to drink from started cracking around the seal. It still never leaked though, but was cracking all the way around the stopper of the flap, so I just decided to order a whole new cup because I couldn't find the lid by itself. GREAT PRODUCT though, heavy duty plastic!! I even travel with extra protein powder in the bottom compartment and it has never leaked also, even with the profuse shaking :)
