I purchased the Startech SV231USB to replace the old Startech KVM which had a difficulty recognizing my Logitech wireless Trackman.From that installation, I knew I needed a longer cable to get to computer #2 than the six foot cables provided with the KVM kit.This cable works great with the SV231USB KVM switch.It is solid; no keyboard or mouse glitches, and the video is sharp without ringing, noise, or other such degradation.Highly recommended if one of your computers is more than 6 feet away from the control unit, as it is, after all, designed to work with the Startech SV231USB KVM control unit.

Worked great, had it in my office to connect to an Avocent KVM. Worked well. Don't have it any more, but not for lack of quality, simply no longer had a requirement.It worked well when I had it, and would likely repeat the purchase if I had such a need.

I purchased this KVM cable, and it was promptly shipped and delivered.Upon arrival, it turns out it was the wrong one. . . But this review does get 5 stars for a reason.I immediately contacted the seller and amazon thinking I'd gotten scammed into buying a cheaper, older DVI cable.Turns out that the mistake was made by the original manufacturer who mislabeled the sealed plastic packaging the cable came in.The seller contacted me within hours, told me they would correct the order without a need to return the incorrect cable I had gotten, and sent the new product overnight immediately.Overall I was very impressed with the customer service and the new cable is exactly as pictured and expected.So impressive, that even with the problems that occured in the packaging, I still give 5/5. I would definitely buy from this seller again, knowing that if anything goes wrong they are responsible and quick to correct it.

This cable bundle is the easiest way to set up a StarTech KVM. I bought the 4 in 1 KVM and I bought four of these cable sets. The KVM vga ports are male--which requires a female vga cable. That's not the normal vga cable. You could buy an adapter but I found this easier and cleaner--and the price is really good. Anyway, the combination of the StarTech KVM and the StarTech cable set is a winner!

I didn't look close enough. I needed a "standard" cable. I didn't think much when I ordered it, but it is the wrong gender. Make sure you get the proper gender for your needs. The REALY should have been a warning on this one.

This was a wrong item and was returned. And honestly, I have no idea why anyone would need those two cords connected together - it is just a lot of unnecessary clutter on the desk -- since they are literally two separate cords -- one is vga. one is usb on one end, and trip wire or firewire on the other. What I needed was vga on one end, and usb on the other. So I exchanged for an HDMI to VGA converter. Works great.

This cable does exactly what it is supposed to do. If you need a KVM cable with a female VGA with a USB B on one end and a male VGA with a USB A on the other, this product is perfect. The cable was not too stiff.

It does the job it needed to do.
