19lb version Will take a light comforter!
This is my second modern plastic twin tub. My first one was excellent but much smaller. I just used it as an easy way to do handwashing.Last week I learned that my conventional toploader of 6 years needed 360 bucks in repairs. Forget it. It may seem odd, but I bought this as a replacement for a regular washer. It's 600 bucks cheaper and works really well. Since I live alone, I am doing laundry for one. Got it today and had a lot of laundry to do to catch up. I use conventional hook up hoses to fill the tub directly instead of through the provided hose and nozzle connection. I put the drain hose directly into my conventional washer wall drain. This is the 19 lb size. It took a full week worth of laundry for one with room to spare. Only filled it to Medium. The impellor is vigorous and effective. For clothes that are not really stained badly, about 6 minutes is plenty. Spun the clothes in two turns. Use the spinner as your rinser. No need to refill the big tub with fresh water. Spin out the dirty water, then flush the clothes in the spinner with fresh water. Repeat three times. This works just fine if you dont overpack the spinner. Final spin for 3-4 minutes and then remove. I still have my conventional dryer. My clothes were so dry after the spinner that a full load only took 20 mins to dry.Second load was a comforter. Everyone wants to know if a comforter will work in these. Yes, barely. My comforter is light and not too fluffy. It is Double/Queen size. Filled to High and really had to press the comforter down into it. It spun around freely. I didnt think the spin rinse would work for the comforter so drained tub and refilled for a rinse cycle. It took all my might to squeeze the comforter down into the spinner. I basically squeezed out most of the water just to get it in. Spun for 3 mins and came out almost dry. threw in dryer with my first load. Will update this review later.UPDATE: Still using this washer and still very happy with it. Cleans better than top loader with agitator and in less than half the time. Only one small irritation. The spinner works great but not while draining the washer tub at the same time. It works great while washing another load, but you have to mostly empty the washer before the spinner works at full speed. I just set it to drain while moving clothes over. Wait another minute and you are ready to spin. Love this washer.

A beautiful product and seems too good to be true.
Such a beautiful product and seems too good to be true. Hopefully it will last.I checked reviews and also checked out video on YouTube.UPDATE: Motor not working on drain. I had to lift it and drain in bathtub. Maybe a simple fix. Will check to see if I have a, warranty. My motor on drain started to work again. It must have been plugged.1. I use the wash side without using the spin side. I use the spin side when I am done washing and rinsing a load.2. Do not fill the spin side with water. It isn't for that purpose. It does not say in instructions to use spin cycle to rinse clothes. (You can use water from spin cycle to wash next load of clothes.)3. You don't need to put it on 15 minutes to wash small loads and if not too dirty. Using it for 10 minutes is long enough. Drain, then use clean water to rinse for another 10 minutes.4. The 19lb Panda is large and able to hold a regular size laundry basket of clothes and looks like 3/4's the size of a regular washing machine. Don't use it for heavy items. Take heavy and large items to laundromat This will save wear and tear on your portable. The regular cycle (standard) goes around 6 times and the gentle cycle 4.. The gentle cycle will not twist your clothes. (Gentle cycle effective in cleaning clothes.) If you use the standard cycle put on gentle for a minute to untwist the clothes. (Use mesh bags to help wash and spin clothes dry. The mesh bags will help keep clothes wrinkle free. This washer will twist clothes if you don't use the mesh bags.5. The spinning action of machine is very powerful. Most items, if material thin, will be dried in less than 2 hours just by setting it on 2 minutes. If the spinner doesn't seem to be spinning as strongly when you first use, than let it rest for a little and it will work as strongly as before.Very easy to use. Easy to fill Panda with buckets of water than waiting to fill with hose.6. Lift up clothes when using drain. This will help it to drain out water. Some water will be left in the machine. I had mop ready while I put hose flat on floor and 2 more cups of water came out of machine.7. I used portable on two different days and cleaned wash tub. I used 1 cap of bleach with a bucket of water to clean. When completely drained of water, leave the lids up for a couple of days to dry.Invest in a small dryer. Take a chance and order this Panda. You will be happy and surprised by the effectiveness of product..Remember to keep children away while Panda is in use. The spinner is powerful.

Would Recommend For Certain People
Firstly I would like to say that this is not a washer and DRYER combo as I originally thought. It is a washed and a separate section to spin dry your clothing. That being said...the spinner part only holds a very few items at a time like one or two but spins them very to the point where they are almost dry and it does it very quickly too. The washer is completely manual. You have to set it to fill which doesn't take too long with both hot and cold faucets on...maybe 6 to 8 minutes for a full load. Then you have to set it to wash for anywhere between one and 15 minutes. The. You set it to drain..refill it again...dont add soap and reset timer for a rinse cycle of your desired time...deset to drain and transfer it a few pieces at a time to the spinner to spin the excess water out. It seems like a process but once you get the hang of it it really takes no time at all and is very convenient for someone with not too many clothes and no access to a washer at home. The drains are very cheap plastic and the one that hooks to the sink does not screw on it only pushes onto the spout of the sink...but as far as I understand it can easily be replaced with one of those expandable garden hoses. Overall it is a good product worth the money for someone like me who lives in a small house and cant hook a 220 volt washer to their breaker box...
