Great considering the price on Amazon
This review is for the older LED version with a maximum of 60 lumens (runtime: High 11 hours; Low 100 hours). I purchased it because of the price, the long run times. And, of course, Surefire's quality. I already had a Surefire with greater power. I really like the clip. While not a serious criticism, I should note the beam pattern is quite a bit more focused versus recent Surefire's or Fenix, etc. While not a spot beam, there is not a lot of spill. If you want more of a flood beam, look elsewhere.

Must have for mechanics
I bought this almost three years ago and use it almost everyday at work. I am a heavy equipment mechanic and I have to crawl into tight spaces a lot. I always carry this light in my pocket whenever I am at work. The low setting allows me to work on things without the light reflecting off of the object and blinding me while the bright setting allows me to see everything and has a pretty good range for being how small it is. I have dropped it from more than 20ft off of loaders onto concrete, picked it up and it still functions correctly. The best thing I like about it is how water, grease, and oil resistant it is. I have on more than one occasion dropped it in a pan of oil dig it out and have it function just fine. The other day I thought I broke it but actually it was just so covered in oil that no light could get out.Only thing I don't like is having to buy surefire batteries. For most people a set of batteries will most likely go a long time but I use the high setting a lot so I tend to drain the batteries faster than I would like.

Best Flashlight Ever
I took this flashlight (illumination tool) backpacking and I could not have been more thrilled. The light output is amazing! The weight (5 ounces) is just what is needed when hiking in the mountains. The dual illumination settings worked great. I used the 3 lumens setting much of the time. When I used the 60 lumen setting, the output was amazing. I could clearly illuminate 90 foot pine trees at their tips or rock formations 40 yards away. The beam was focused and far reaching. This is my first Surefire but definitely not my last. I have ordered the Surefire Saint headlamp as a result of this flashlight. The quality and attention to detail justify the price.

another surefire hit
I have used surefire flashlights for over a decade. The only reason I ever have to replace them, is I tend to lose them out of my pocket. This light doesn't fail to deliver. (and it hasn't been lost yet!)

I have had this light for some time now and I have carried it dropped it and probably abused this thing in every way possible and it's still trucking. I would recommend this tourch to anybody that is interested in a quality product!!
