Pure & Dry HEPA70 (70 Pint) Dehumidifier and Air Purifier - Sealed Hepa Filter - Up To 1400 Sq Ft Coverage

Having just bought the HEPA70 after Hurricane Irma forced water into our ceilings and walls, I wanted to see it do its thing. After two weeks of operation, here are my thoughts. It's heavy, it's complicated but it does the job. The weakest part is the manual; the company rep said it is being re-worked so that will help explain procedures. The unit scrubs the air, pulls out moisture. The tank filled in about eight hours and there's an automaticcutoff so it won't overflow. It will clean the air and dehumidify at the same time. Thankfully, you can adjust the speed so it's very quiet for sleeping and the display lighting automatically turns off so that there aren't any lights bouncing off the ceiling at night, keeping you awake.The HEPA filter works well; pulled mold/mildew odors out of the room within hours. Checking the unit's calibration with two other thermometers and hygrometers, it's pretty accurate. Calling customer service for a replacement filter (broken in shipment) and operating instructions was a breeze. Very quick, helpful (supervisor had the identical unit, was an allergy sufferer, offered to send a new unit if I had any more concerns). I'm impressed with the unit's mobility, looks and operation. For those who have trouble following the instructions, give them a call or wait for the Manual for Dummies!

Wow, this thing works and does what it says but it is loud and puts out very warm air. I live in South Florida and I have to empty the tank at least twice a day which is not an issue but the thing puts out very hot air so it's not a great fit fighting my ac in the summer. The air filter is ok but not the greatest and the dehumidifier works great if not loud and hot!

Bought this for my daughter who has leaky basement issues after heavy rains (major fixes scheduled in a couple weeks) but after reading all reviews this would handle standard basement moisture after issues are addressed. It is really helping now. Only problem is instructions on how to hook up continuous drain hose is NOT entirely clear. Hose is installed per instructions (she thinks) but reservoir is still filling up. She is going to have to call Customer Service to figure what’s going on and what she needs to do differently!

The unit i ordered was used before and had dust inside from previous use,the wheels were already on the unit when i took out of box. The instructions say to take wheels out from draw but was already on the unit. The item also came with a hose which wasn't suppose to. Unit is extremely loud.

Very happy with this product! Old wet basement went from 80% down to 45% very quickly. It maintains good humidity and took the smell out of the basement as well.

A disappointment, the filter would not run at the same time as the dehumidfier. Could not set for percentage of humidity as expected. Had to remove the filter to run the dehumidifier. Returned for a refund. Advice, purchase from amazon as their refunds are more freely given.

The switch that engages the dehumidifier to run rarely works. When the bucket is full and you empty it takes for to get the dehumidifier to engage again.

I originally bought this dehumidifier/air purifier for the 37' RV we lived in. We live in the rainy state of Washington, and it did a great job keeping the moisture down in the rainy seasons, which will help preserve our RV.It does put out warm air, but I believe that is a result of what setting it's on. I appreciated the warm air because it produced heat in the cold seasons.We moved the unit to our ocean mobile home and leave it in the bathroom. It dries out all the moisture after a shower in pretty short time, which reduces potential mold issues, and keeps the moisture in the home reduced.Although it is noisy on full setting, it does have a night mode, and I like that it has a variety of optional settings. It is relatively easy to empty, but I would like to hook up a hose so I don't have to empty it so often in the winter, or lift the heavy water to the sink/tub without spilling.Overall, I would highly recommend this product.I like this unit so much that I'm going to buy a second unit so I have one in each place and don't have to keep moving it.
