I think this is the 5th hammer that I've bought from Kakuri and it does not disappoint. I love the look and the feel of the hammer. I'm physically disabled and have a lot of chronic pain in my hands, and I love woodworking. I've been collecting hammers of different sizes and weighs so that I can get back into a hobby that I love, and Kakuri hammers have been amazing! If I am having a hard time working, the heavier hammers are balanced and makes hammering stuff a lot easier. If I can't handle the heavier hammers, then I can work with the lighter hammers to accomplish the same task. I am definitely looking forward to showcasing these hammers in my future work! And will definitely recommend them to everyone I meet (and yes, I have gotten weird looks when randomly telling strangers about these hammers!)! Also, just some notes on Kakuri hammers: 1. The head might be loose when you get hammers of this style. That is completely fine, natural, and not an issue. Depending on moisture and temperature (especially if sitting in a hot delivery truck for a while) the wood goes thru expansion or contraction. If goes thru contraction, then the head will be loos. They include some very easy instructions on how to adjust for this, but to make it simple, you see where the handle goes into the head and the metal nail there, just hit it with another hammer, rock, or hard surface and it is fixed. 2. This is NOT a purely bronze hammer. It says so in the title and description. It is a bronze plated carbon steel hammer, and it is beautiful! It is more expensive than their other hammers because you are buying a beautiful hammer that has the element of luxury!

generally looks and works as expected. head arrived slightly loose. not the quality you'd expect for this price point. was able to fully seat head and re-seat wedge, but shouldn't have to do that at this price.
