I got the product but the paste is like hard like I can barely get my finger to dig out the product, do I put it in warm water or replace it?

These products range anywhere from a solid or gel-like consistency to a liquid, depending on the temperatures in your home. They are still 100% effective, no matter the consistency. Even when they’re in a gel or butter form, simply warm them up in your hands before applying. If you find them a bit more liquid, just warm them between your palms until they soften, and then gently press onto your skin.

Alternatively, if you; 'd like to restore the texture, we encourage warming the product until it melts using one of the following methods:

Put it in a sunny spot for at least 30 minutes for the mini size and 60 minutes for full-size products OR
Tighten the cap (so that no water can get in) and run it under very warm water, or place it in a shallow, hot water bath (Use caution!) until the product is completely liquified.

Be sure to view the product is completely melted and liquid through the side of the container between the label opening. The mini sizes typically melt in 30 minutes, and there is no viewable side to confirm it is liquid, so be sure to give it the full 30 minutes in the sun. Do not open jars throughout the melting process since liquid can spill easily.

Then, give your moisturizer a good, vigorous shake and place it into the freezer in an upright position until it solidifies. This may take a minimum of an hour.

Going forward, keep your moisturizer stored at a cooler room temperature away from direct sunlight to maintain consistency. You can even keep it in the refrigerator for a boost in anti-inflammatory benefits. It's an extra step in the summer months, but we think it's better than using water, wax and preservatives.

What is the difference between this moisturizer and the cactus one. It’s a huge price difference. Thanks!

The cactus moisturiser is phenomenal. I bought the trial size just to try it. I didn't think there would be that much difference between the Cactus and the Petitgrain moisturiser because the Petitgrain moisturiser is already so good. There is a HUGE difference though. I personally could never justify spending that much money on skincare, but it's a genuinely great product.

Question 3

My petitgrain is gritty. Any ideas why?

Sometimes during transit it melts and then resolidifies. This can cause the gritty texture but it’s still fully useable. I recommend using their serum first then applying the petitgrain after the serum absorbs it makes the moisturizer last a lot longer because you don’t have to use as much
