It's cheap and works, I could connect an old HDMI equipped VCR to my capture card bypassing the protection as says in the title. Now old memories are digitised.

Strips hdcp
The unit is small and seems well built.I had tried another splitter but that didn't work stripping hdcp. Tried this one and it works which I'm pleased about.Only downside is the input power is not usb going into the splitter, would have been good of it was as that would make replacing the cable easy if it was damaged

Good for bypassing HDCP
Worked for bypassing HDCP from an Amazon Fire TV for me. I was going into a Kramer scaler and had to turn off HDCP on the input for it to work. Works fine as splitter too with another TV plugged in.

Doesn't split
With one screen attached to the splitter it did what it was supposed to, with the control software visible on my laptop and the display on the screen. Add another output, and it was no longer recognised and my laptop found not additional screens.So it kinda fails in a big way on being a splitter!

HDCP stripper
Bought to bypass HDCP, which it is doing admirably. Can't comment on splitting function or longevity, (only arrived yesterday) but so far so good.
