This is the newer style jeep cap that is longer, more like a toboggan with a brim, not the old school Radar O'Reilly cap that was meant to be a helmet liner. The extra length makes it a more functional hat, even if it does not look exactly correct to those of us with gray hair. I wear a large or extra large motorcycle helmet depending on the brand, and this fits fine. It's a little itchy, because it's made of the type of material you get when you pay $15 instead of the material you get when you pay $50. The extra length compared to the older jeep caps means that it is double layer over more of the sides and back of your head when it is folded up, or it covers more of your ears and neck when it is unfolded, which is good or bad depending on what you want.

I keep one in the house and one in each car. They are great to keep your head warm when doing things outside in the winter. I like the brim that helps keep the sun out of your eyes.

wanted olive,,, guess i did order black... hate when clicking mixes up different colors... raspy wool.... fit is there.. these do stretch.. can really shrink in wash machine or rain from outside to in.... will not reorder and just buy plain old stocking caps at farm store... i think seller's products went way down hill here... the quality is not there and comes shipped USPS, but in a small plastic bag from manufacturer.... better graphic then what you will get.. old hat version is in graphic.. the radar o'riely !!!
