Taylor Made Products Teak Flag Pole

I have no idea as to what some customers got, but based on the product I received there would be no reasonable reason to provide a negative product review, quite the opposite. The pole is true, not warped, there's no evidence of any glueing, it is nicely clear-varnish finished (not dark), and most importantly it is indeed teak, not some other lesser wood as some opined. Given the quality the price is considerably less than one might expect. I had apprehensions, given some of the reviews, but they vanished when taking the pole out of the box.

I just received this flag pole, which was shipped in the package without the finial pictured in both the Amazon listing, and on the package label. Attached are photos of the entire pole, unopened in the package, and a closer shot of the label and end of the pole where the finial should have been attached. Taylor Made has never been the cheapest option available for boating accessories, and there were cheaper options on Amazon for a teak flag pole of the same size. But Taylor Made used to have reliable high quality, and would previously never have shipped a defective flag pole missing a finial like this. The defect was obvious to me the moment I looked at the unopen package. But no one at Taylor Made cared enough to inspect for quality. So long, Taylor Made. Fool me once, shame on you. There won't be another chance.

Quality construction; far superior to the Sea Teak pole I had previously. Had to file/sand down the base end of the pole, as it didn't quite fit my 1.25" socket. Hoping to get much better longevity out of the Taylor Made product than the one I had before it.

Strong pole but I don’t thing it’s teak but a similar wood. The grain is not tight and it’s a very light oak color, nothing like the dark stain on the photo. In addition , the bottom diameter is not deep enough to fit all the way down into the mating Taylor made flush fitting. I’m sending it back

Doubt it's teak as after 1 year, it now looks like OAK -- completely faded with finish coming off. Beware - the color tone is NOT what's pictured -- it's more of an oak color.
