Q: Mine i just purchased was black. what happened to the wrought iron color? anyone else get that or am i looking at the wrong product?

All that i saw was chrome (silver) color. Maybe you should've explored more to get the color you wanted. Unfortunately sometimes a description can be misleading due the color description being more on the fanciful side. Example crimson being just red lol .

Q: Wondering if the hooks will rub and scrape the paint off my cabinets?

I cut some little stick-on felt pads and put them on wherever the holder touched the cabinet. Be sure to get thin ones. Seem to be doing the job after of 2 months.

Q: How to put together lost instructions

Sorry I don't have the instructions either. I only remember how I received it I only have to insert the bottom part inside. Maybe you might want to YouTube it and see if it comes out there. Sorry couldn't help much.
