It's an elbow...
You will have to put way more teflon tape on than you think is necessary to fit a NPT fitting but other than that they are doing their job.

The threads on these fittings are not 1/8" NPT.
These fittings are too loose and do not seal in a 1/8" NPT hole. Worthless!
