This is tough to rate. Is it a ONE or a FIVE???
This is tough to rate. Is it a ONE or a FIVE???The description explains good on all doors from 1997 to present. This is the part that gets a 1.I have three garage doors. Two Raynor installed pre 2006, and one installed in 2009. When the one was installed in 2009 I was told that although the doors are all Raynor and look the same the remotes could not be programmed to cross operate. This remote is no compatible with this unit. For what I used it on it is a FIVE. Easy to setup and works perfectly. Also one person rated low cause their remote could not open over a certain distance. My guess is that they had a weak battery, I tested mine at about 200 feet and it worked fine.

Very good item, but a piece of advice...
Great service, quick ship, and it looks and works great, just like my original ones. Don't know if anyone else has mentioned this, but maybe I can save someone the bit of frustration that I experienced. These units are NOS, and were manufactured quite some time ago, and have the original batteries in them. Once the light went on in my head, and I replaced the battery, it worked like a charm. It uses the very common C2032 battery, which is cheap, and easy to find. My advice is to just assume that you are going to replace the the battery, and pick up one while you wait for the remote to arrive.

Liftmaster for 390 mHz Craftsman Opener
After having to stand in the rain to get my door I have been fortunate enough to find this opener. My original openers died a few weeks ago and after trying to reprogram them and then going to Sears to find replacements, I got these, two of them for what one costs at Sears. It took about 30 seconds to program the opener to one door and then another 30 seconds to to program the other door (I have two doors with identical Craftsman openers). Just press then quickly release the learn button on the opener motor and then press the button you want on the remote, the opener main lights flashed and then the control was programmed. Now I can open both doors on my garage. This is wonderful! It is raining here now and when I get home tonight, I won't get wet getting the car in the garage. Simple to use and very cost effective!Watch out to make sure you are buying the right frequency opener! Read the product description and the information on your opener.

They work, easy to program. Probably best for newer garage door openers.
Bought two of these for two older garage door openers manufactured in 99. I could not program one because the sensor board had burned out in one garage door opener. Had to have someone out to replace the sensor board and he went ahead and programmed these remotes to the openers. They work, but they could not be programmed to turn the opener lights on or off separately. But at least I can open either of my doors from my car now, so I'm happy. The lights on the openers come on when you open the garage door and close them, but can't just turn the lights on from the openers. Hope this helps.

Works like a charm and super easy to install
We ordered this and it was terrific. It takes 2 minutes to set it up. You open the garage door. Get a ladder and open one of the light covers on the garage door opener unit. Find the learn button in the top corner. Press it and hold it down till it changes color, or lights up. Then press the button on the remote you want to program and hold it down till you hear a couple of clicks. Then press that same button on the remote and the garage door should shut. Your done...unless you want to program more buttons. It comes with detailed instructions with pictures. The battery was already installed in the remote.

Super Easy to use!!!!!
Just open the package, push the button, and this thing learns all by-itself. My Craftsman door opener clicker crapped out on me, and this thing works as good as new. Just open it up, push a few buttons, and you have a new opener...It's a great replacement, or, great if you want to give someone else a door open-er to your house. After ordering it, I got another one as a back-up. It even comes with it's own batteries....It's even a little smaller than my original, and it comes with a visor lip. 5 stars!!!

Live and learn... my fault, but I am still annoyed
I got this remote after checking the color of my garage door opener's learn button to ensure it was the color indicated here. So, it works... however, my other garage door opener (I have a large door and a small door on my garage) uses a purple learn button. So... this remote will not work there and thus the extra buttons do me no good. BUMMER. Bigger bummer, is that knowing the color of the learn button mattered was one thing but the thing I REALLY could have used in information is that there are versions of this remote that work on multiple frequencies and thus work across ALL the color of the learn buttons.... for about the same price. So... I screwed up... didn't know... and didn't get properly informed until too late. Do not make that mistake yourself... think about your current set up... thing about your potential future setups or the fact that maybe you might want to use one of these buttons at a completely different location (parent's house, etc)... the extra buttons do not do as much good if they are limited to a specific subset of the openers.

I enjoy my Liftmaster 973LM Three Button Remote Control
My Liftmaster 873LM Three Buton Remote Control worked fine and I had no problem in it since I ordered it. Thanks to Amazone.com. The instructions that were provided with the Liftmaster 973LM were easy to follow and very helpful. After I became sure that the Liftmaster 973LM was reliable garage door remote control, I bought another one. The three button Liftmaster is easy to operate, to carry and it does not only open garage doors. but has other functions too. For example, turning light of garage door openers on and off.
