Think twice before purchasing!
This product is very sturdy, but don't have a problem and have to send it back. They will approve the return but you have to pay for it.It costs me $138.00 to send back plus a 20% restocking fee. In addition, if they don't like the way it is packed, they said they would send it back to me and keep your money. This process was extremely stressful and taxing. Again, the equipment is sturdy and easy to assemble but don't send it back because you are going to lose half your money.

Highly recommended! Excellent, heavy-duty piece of equipment
I got this for my sister, who is a cancer patient. She weighs just less than half of the listed capacity of this trapeze, but as a former registered nurse, she requested this heavy-duty model for ultimate stability - and yes, it is very stable! It took a little tinkering with the exact placement under her full-size bed, but she is able to get in and out of bed, as well as adjust herself therein, much more easily. This trapeze is considerably more costly than a 250-lb capacity model, but if you are anywhere near that weight, I highly recommend that you spring for this one instead. This is an extremely heavy piece of equipment and is of high quality construction. Assembly was fairly easy, but the instructions tell you to assemble the trapeze arm (the overhead part) to the supporting post before attaching it to the base. Well, the arm and post together are too heavy to comfortably lift, and as a result it's too unwieldy to position it correctly in the floor base clamps. I had to disassemble the arm from the post and attach the post to the base first, then attached the arm. (The manufacturer probably assumes that you have two big, strong people putting this thing together, and in our case, it was just little old me. My nephew assisted with final assembly and placement when he got home from work.)You can preview the assembly instructions here: http://www.grahamfield.com/nosync/productimagesV2/ProductAdditionalInfoItemOriginal1809.pdfThe trapeze came well-packaged and faster than expected. I had a question about some unidentifiable parts that were included in the box, so I called the manufacturer. I got immediate assistance from a friendly, knowledgeable man in the shop, and together we were able to determine that the parts were for a different model.Hint: Get yourself some little rubber caps (maybe 3/8", but measure the bolts to be sure) to slip over the exposed ends of the bolts on the clamps so you don't get scratched while you're positioning the finished unit. Ours were a bit rough to the touch.

Great if you have space around your bed
Big and heavy. Very sturdy when assembled. Instruction manual for assembly a bit lacking. Needed some trial and error to fit the leg pins.

DIRECTIONS COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER
THE DIRECTIONS COULD HAE BETTER. the unit is well built and seems to be sturdy when used to pull straight up. We bought this unit to help someone to get out and into the bed from a wheel chair. when getting into bed from the wheel chair pulling from the side the leg would come up off the floor. Had to put a 50lb bad of sand on the leg to keep it on the floor.

Excellent. Heavy.
This was helpful for a large man who was bedridden. It was only used for a few months. I no longer need it and would like to sell it.
