I absolutely LOVE this bag!! I got it for my niece for her birthday. We both think it's very important to shop ethically and this product was a great purchase. These bags are each unique and so well done by the artisan. Here is what they say about their product: "Room for everything, this bag is sure to please anyone who carries a backpack. Lined, drawstring inner shell and a "flap over" outside closure with a wooden button. 3 outside pockets; one in the front and one on each side also close securely with a wood button. I honestly expected this bag to be more fragile than it actually is. My niece has used it everyday since I purchased it in early March and it has stood up to some rigorous testing. Note that it is not for hiking or that sort of thing. She used it more as a purse/book bag. We love the colors and the style.

I bought this for my son after he mentioned coveting a Nepalese type one he'd seen somewhere. Just based on that much info (his description was terrible--he's thirteen), I covertly bought this and crossed my fingers that it would be a hit for one of his birthday presents. He loves it. Loves the vibrant colors, the fact that it is of recycled materials--a patchwork of rice-bags, fused together in such a creative way. It really is beautiful and looks somewhat durable; has a decent liner in there. The little wooden button won't last long, but that won't take it down a star.

Love this bag! Super cute, roomy, and seems sturdy. like the color I received *updated review. it could not hold all that i had to carry for school and the straps ripped. i sewed them and it was fine but eventually the sides began to tear aswell, which could not be fixed. this bag is nice for aesthetics only and wont last carrying much weight

This beautiful backpack shipped so fast and when it came I was super happy and all my friends who were there when the package arrived were very jealous. Its large colorful and so gosh darn pretty. It has a nice earthy smell to which I really like. I also like they way they all are different it made it exciting to get in the mail because I didn't know what colors I would be getting. I'm still very excited and can't stop looking at it, it makes me want to travel. The material seems very strong too. So happy.

I ordered this bag because I liked the concept of it being made of jute, I loved the pattern and bohemian style. However, it was not perfect for what I purchased it for. I wanted more of a substitute for a purse while traveling out of the country. It was way to big and flimsy. I kept it in hopes that I will find another use for it although I am not a backpack type of gal. Possible I will change the shoulder straps to on strap and make it more of a messenger bag.

I wanted to get this because it was cool and I needed a backpack for college. The material is itchy and thin. The straps hurt, the buttons fall off. This is just not worth the time. I hated using this and I am very disappointed with the quality of this bag.

It's a lot bigger than pictured! I can fit all my notebooks (4 thick spirals) and a few text books with extra room! It's also very sturdy--no worries of a strap breaking. Also plenty of room to be a weekend bag or something else of the sorts. Theres a nice liner on the inside so theres no jute to snag onto delegates if you use it for clothes. Colors are beautiful!

I got this bag for biking to and from school. It is just as good as when I got it, though it's been only a few months. Still, that's pretty good, especially because I am not gentle with my bags, and I put some weight in 'em. I've carried as much as 15 lbs in this and it was fine. There are only two drawbacks to the bag. The first is that you have to do something about the drawstring to keep it from falling into the liner. I normally just keep my bag tied at all times and loosen it when needed. You could also tie something big onto the ends of the strings. (But it would have to be BIG. I made a big ol' knot in the strings, but it still wasn't big enough to keep the strings from slipping in.) The other drawback is that the little wooden things are not hugely secure. The pouches will stay closed, but the wood bits could've been sewn on a little more strongly. Otherwise, it rockzors. Love all the pouches!

The only issue I have with this is that it’s rather large...vacuous on the inside. Some dividers would be wonderful...I assumed there would be no dividers....I really do love the bag.
