Works perfectly on my hardwood floor and looks great. With a rubber backing
Works perfectly on my hardwood floor and looks great. With a rubber backing, the rug appears to stay in place while drumming. My only concern had to do with the bass drum pedal spikes digging through the rug and into my hardwood floor, but after placing a few furniture leg pads under each spike (between rug and floor), problem solved. The colors are a little darker than seen in photo (not a deal breaker) and with an attached reusable Velcro strap, rolling the rug up and putting in the provided bag make it easy to take with me or for storage when not in use. I play on a Roland TD15K electronic drum kit with double bass, Simmons DA200S drum amp/speaker, multiple cymbal/mic stands and drum throne, and still have plenty of room for more equipment. I highly recommend the seller and this rug.

Beautifully designed!!
This drum rig is EXACTLY as described! It’s thick, soft to the touch, light weight and it’s durable! It looks great under my husbands drum set! It’s easy to clean, and it doesn’t snag or move freely. Highly recommend!!

Great rug!!! Not so great strap design
I really love this rug, but the Velcro strap used to securely roll it up sticks to the carpet and has kind of turn up the spot that it usually sits on. Also the strap is in the way when it is rolled out. I have honestly been thinking of just cutting the strap off and using something else to secure it when it is rolled up

Life made easier...
This thing is like magic. I remember using a normal rug for my drums and I had to set up my kit once every month. Now, i have set up my kit and forgot about it. It just stays in place as if it were glued together. It looks pretty good too. My friends like it a lot.I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a reliable anti slip drum rug.

I love mine
What do you need from a drum rug? It should look great, lay flat, grip hard, and clean up easy. That's exactly what this is. If you want the Turkish rug look this is a great choice.

Don't get it wet + poor design
I saw some of the reviews that said don't get it wet. "How bad could it be?" I said. The answer is pretty bad. I did a gig last weekend and the back end of the rug got exposed to water. Check out the photo. It's dry now and those aren't shadows. That's just how it looks after contact with water. Not only did the color run, but it created a hideous blue mess. My hands were totally covered in blue ink after packing it up. And it was dripping blue mess everywhere. I'm sure someone looked at the stage area the next day and said "what the heck happened here?" Fortunately I had a tarp to wrap it in keep it from ruining my vehicle's interior on the drive home! The other issue is the velcro strap. I guess maybe they expect you to flip the rug and roll it so that the carpet side is facing out? That seems dumb to me. I just want to roll it as is when I'm done, with the rug side face up. This results in the carpet side being protected and the rubber backing side facing out. it seems like poor design to have to flip it over and carry it with the good side facing out.The rug itself looked good until it got wet. Now it looks like a mess. It's plenty big, which is what I wanted. But it isn't practical to have a drum rug that the colors run and leaves behind a mess. As much as I wanted a rug of this size and with this look, I can't recommend the Meinl. One star.

Great drumming rug, don’t let one trickle of water on it
This is a beautiful, soft rug but be cautious not to get it wet. The colors immediately run and the dark colors quickly bleed into the white lettering. Just takes even a little blotting with damp rag. After one time getting slightly damp its clean patterns are ruined. We use this under our sons drum set and it fits perfectly and does not budge. Cautionary tale: Animals around it or food and drink can ruin this fast
