I gave my daughter my old MacBook Pro so she could start using her computer for school. I already needed to replace the charger because the cable was broken. Great option, it works perfectly.

***Update: it stopped working 8/25/2024. Still worth 5 stars for price and because it worked and didn't get too hot until it just suddenly no longer worked. 3 months is worth the price.***So far, so good. It doesn't get hot like the actual Apple cord did, and it stays in... no sagging or wiggle like we had with our original cord. No spark when I plug it into computer or wall, like some of the reviews were warning about. I was tentative and nervous about ordering this, instead of going through the Apple store... but it's working great. I'm 100% satisfied with this product. Couldn't be happier! Saved money and it's working a lot better than the more expensive one did. 100% recommend.

Perfect and works great! There are no complaints. The charging speed does as well as the originals! The cord length is the same as the charger that comes with the laptop! If I ever need to order another cord, I would choose this brand again!

The power brick on my vintage MacBook Pro went out. Apple no longer makes these. This one seems to be providing enough power to run and charge an i7 15 inch laptop with the MagSafe 2 (T style) adapter. My only complaint is that you can't install the Apple extension on the brick. You may need a short extension cord depending on your power situation.

I ordered this cord and it turns out that I am really very happy with it. For one it is a pretty fast charger. I was shocked really on just how fast it is. For two this is the charger with the magnet and the magnet is strong because it just sucks right to it and makes connecting to the Mac Book so easy. The cord length is definitely longer than the one I had to replace by a few inches this one is approx. 67inches that is from the end of the magnet and the full lengeth of the cord all the way up to the edge where the cord meets the charger box. It's design is pretty bulky for my taste especially for a charger, and it is just the charger box that actually plugs into the outlet that is bigger and bulkier than most. so it is still very doable. Since it is bigger and bulkier I would believe that it is more durable than other chargers also.

I bought this charger in December 2024, and it hasn’t even lasted me a year. You've been warned!The charger was great at first and charged my computer appropriately and quickly. It would get hot, but I felt like that was a normal thing to happen (not sure?). However, I found that the charger cord was unusable today when it started to rip. It was a small tear, but no wires were exposed yet, so I continued to use it. When I plugged it in today to charge, it completely stopped working 30 minutes later. I thought maybe it was the outlet, so I took it out and tried a new outlet and it sparked at the base of the charger where the rip was! Needless to say I’m back to having to buy a new charger *again*. I am extremely disappointed in the quality of this item.
