Does it send the audio to the hdmi as well so the tv will have both the video and the sound?

yes, I just connect with the lead and everything comes through on my TV 😁

Does this work with an ipad

Yes. I can display what's on my iPad on my TV. The iPad is running the latest iOS and the TV is a 3 year old LG

Has anyone used this cable to connect and iPad to a TV and cast the Zwift app?

I couldn’t get it to work so returned it
