Yes you will get two. The cable fir my without any alteration. But the table can be cut to fit. It works perfectly.

Will this fit a LaZBoy sofa recliner from 2008?

Honestly, I'm not sure if it would fit a recliner from 2008. Our recliner was from 2018. If this is the type of pull handle that your recliner has, I'd order it and try to see if it would work. If not, you can always return it.
