Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist Volume 1 Paperback – 6 Feb. 2006

I'm a little biased towards Yu-Gi-Oh as a long term fan but this is a really solid version, I love the manga. The art is really satisfying and it has some gorgeous full page pieces. It also loads beautifully on my mobile which is cool as it means I can read my manga without worrying about bent spines - which is awesome when I know that I'll be reading it so many times.The story is solid but has more mature content than the english/American version in the anime. This proves to be more intense and gives a few gems of jokes. The character of Tea is so much easier to like in this, as personally I didn't like her in the anime because of her cheesy nature. Mai is a fabulous character here.The only thing that annoys me a bit is that it finished mid duel, but hey - It made me want to buy the next anyway so what does it matter.

This is one of the best mangas I've ever read I am a big fan of the show so I loved it even more will definitely be buying the rest in the series

I love yugioh but for those of you who don't know this is actully yugioh volume 8 because originally yugioh has 38 volumes in total but when translated into english the company split it up into three parts and re-named them for some reason the first 7 are named by the series original title, yugioh, the next 24 called yugioh duelist and the final 7 are titled yugioh millenium world so if you start with anything but yugioh volume 1 your reading it in the wrong order. So my only complaints are that the swearing is censored, most of the card names are wrong and pegasus j crawford has been re-named maxamillion j pegasus and the name changes to the title but the only real reason i gave this 4 stars rather than five was because this volume is the start of the duelist kingdom ark which is my least favourite ark in the story but still a great read!
