Review: I have used this type of book and this authors books for LDD2005, AutoCAD 2008-09, and for C3D 2009. It is a great reference and for those who know AutoCAD and are trying to learn C3D this is a great resource. It can help you understand all the many quirks that C3D has in it, but in the end will make you much more efficient with C3D. I am a land surveyor trying to jump on to the ever changing world of CAD/GIS. I have used this book a great deal along with another book (the other I found only slightly useful: Mastering C3D 2008) to self teach myself AutoCAD C3D. I highly suggest this book as a teaching guide and a reference. I also highly suggest C3D, it might be overwhelming at first but once you get use to it the functionality makes LDD look like a long since outdated software. ***I did not give this 5 stars because chapters 12-15 are on the accompanying CD. I'm a bit old school in that I like to read text on paper not on the computer screen. However, I realize that if they didn't do this the book would be huge.
