I saw a few people had issues with this, but I didn't order this to charge a phone. It works fine for what I needed it for. I have my pc hooked up to a 50 inch plasma and didn't want the wire for my keyboard to be hooked to the front usb port on my Elite 430 due to the chance of anyone tripping over it as the port itself about two feet off the ground. I decided to use a cheap usb hub that I had lying around and some double sided mounting tape to mount the hub on the bottom of my entertainment center. With this cord I was able to run from the back of my PC underneath the entertainment center to connect the hub with extra cord to spare. There's no cord hanging from the front of my PC now which puts my concerns to rest. If someone trips of the keyboard wire now, it won't bother me as much as it did before. I currently have a keyboard and a 360 controller hooked up to the hub and I've had no issues.Some people go around bashing things for not working as they expected. To those people I have this to say; nothing is perfect and you can't always expect things to work the way you want them to. Sometimes things are defective, but in this case, why not just buy another one? It's two dollars and no shipping costs so it's not like it's breaking anyone's budget. That or spend a couple extra dollars on one with gold plated connections.Anywho, five stars for showing up a day early, working as it should and for making things a bit safer in my room. Now if only I could figure out how to get it to make me rich and famous, lmao.

I bought this to give a six foot boost of length to the USB power cable for my smartphone, so that when I am at home I can keep it plugged in and fully charged. When plugged in the phone runs entirely on external power and doesn't use the battery, which helps to extend the effective lifetime of the battery. Now I can sit or lay in bed or even go into the bathroom without unplugging the phone, especially with the additional three foot extension afforded by the smartphone headset. I can talk on the phone, use apps, and more without draining the battery at all; it stays fully charged and does not use the battery, keeping it fresh until I need to unplug it to travel with. I plugged the male end of the power cable the phone came with into the female end of this extension cable, and the male end of the extension cable into my PC, and it worked without issue, and continues to do so. Also works fine with the smartphone's USB adapter plug for conventional power outlets. It is not at all delicate, I have walked all around my room and bathroom with this cable attached to my phone without issue to its performance. I liked it so much I am going to buy six more feet for my phone (enough to reach the kitchen as well, but still within the maximum effective range of USB 2.0) and another six foot length for my webcam. Great product, if you're looking for USB 2.0 extension cable you cannot do better for price and performance than this.

I admit to disliking stores that charge $79.95 for monster-sized cables with "gold" couplings, which are merely gold-colored and priced at over a 1000% markup, despite additionally thick cable conducting electricity no better than a skinny cable that meets the minimum.But I'm not so dumb either to think that price is the only factor, because some guy selling cables at 10 cents each is just as likely to end up disappointing you, too, when the couplings come out the first time you disconnect the cable from another coupling.This cable is long enough and has sturdy connections that hold firmly. The cat has been nipping at it for about a year and so far has not been able to bite through the rubber insulation. A better deal than one might expect from such a low price, although not 5 stars because the USB cables look like they're silver instead of gold <kidding>.

I was looking for a longer HDMI cord to connect my laptop to my HDTV and this is perfect. The one I was using was too short and annoying to work with. I tried looking locally at Staples, Wal Mart, and Best Buy. I hate how local stores insist on charging you obscene amounts of money for a product that covers only half your needs. I check Amazon, a trusted savior in my life, and found this product. The price is perfect considering you can get HDMI cables for super cheap off of Ebay from China. I didn't do that because I wanted a quality product with clear reviews. This product was less than half of what I was going to pay locally, with three times the length. The build quality is superb. Both ends are housed in a strong rubber casing and the cord itself is wrapped in solid mesh type of material. IT FEELS STRONG. I highly recommend this product to anyone. It is companies like this, who make quality products at a reasonable cost, who deserve patronage. Local stores need to take notice or fall behind. I will refer anyone I can to this product and Amazon in the future because it is where consumers go to be treated fairly and to receive great products.

Bought one of these a long time ago, and a few months after I bought one more for a friend. Specifically for use in the bedroom so I can lay down and use my phone in bed because the cord was too short otherwise (yay first world problems!). What I didn't expect is how many more uses it would have I never though of! When an Xbox One controller or Wii U controller died or started to die, we could extend the charger to reach the couch using these cords so we could still play! This has also worked for the cellphones as well, if we were using them on the couch or somewhere else. There doesn't seem to be any slowing in the charging speeds either, which is great. This also works perfect for all kinds of other devices that use USB, such as tablets, bluetooths, and more.Will definitely buy again in the future as needed.
