Q: Will this work on an old allstar 6000 that has a megacode radio receiver on it?

We just bought this house so I don’t know what model it is. The house was built in 1990 and I don’t know if it’s the original. All I know is it looks old. I also don’t know what a mega code is. I had to take the cover off the garage door thing that Is attached to the garage ceiling. It had numbers 1-0 with little switches some up some down some in the middle. I then matched the opener the same way and it worked. Sorry I’m a girl so I’m clueless about this old stuff. Hope that answers your question.

I would check with Alister if you can. I’m out of town and will be back on Monday 26th of July. I believe I described the garage door receiver in my ad. I can tell you if the receiver works they may work. My problem was the receiver stopped working so I had to buy a new receiver and thus these remotes would not work.

Your remote could be on a different frequency than your garage door receiver. It depends on the brand. Frequencies range from 318 Mhz to 390 Mhz. Also make sure you have the switches set the same for the receiver and the remote.
