Good system with bad press
After a few years of getting too much sawdust in my lungs, and being too lazy to tape a hose in place on different dust ports, I decided I should do something to make dust collection easier.Dewalt seemed to be including their airlock system on the newer tools, and it checked all the boxes (no more single use taping; letting the hose spin freely).I know there's a lot of confusion around how to make it work with the adapters, so while the star rating is for this product, what follows is a summary and brief review of all the pieces I know of in the system (not including the many geared toward concrete drilling).Overall, it seems like a great system with too little up front help to get the right parts.Hopefully this helps everyone's lung health.Collectors-DWV9000 Universal ConnectorThis is the piece that attaches to your collection hose. It threaded onto my Shop Vac hose well, but takes a small amount of force the first time to start the threads. You may have to trim the hard plastic end of the hose some, but it attaches well to all the airlock tools and adapters.N273733 Dust BagSince the dust bags that came with the tools would no longer work, I bought an airlock dust bag for when I wasn’t using the vacuum. I believe it is the same one that comes with the newer sanders. There's an odd design choice here. The dust bag fits well on specific tool adapters and tools with airlock built into them, but it didn't fit any of the generic adapters. They are 3/16th of an inch too long on the airlock side.I ended up trimming 3/16th of an inch off the adapters I attached to the sander and miter saw and then it worked fine.Specific Tool Adapters-DCP580 20V MAX Brushless Planer - Has an airlock port molded right into the body, no adapter needed.DWE575DC - Airlock port for circular saws. Fits the DCS570 well.DWB-N564892/DWB-N575480 - Airlock dust shoot & shield for DCS334 and DCS335 jigsaws. For some reason these were not released in the US. I've trying ordering them online, but don't have them to comment on yet.General Airlock Adapters-DWV9170 1.25 inch adapterThis is what you would use to connect your airlock hose back to old Shop Vac size accessories.Seems slightly loose for the 1.25 inch friction fit. I might wrap a bit or tape around it to make it more snug.DWV9140 2-1/4 inch adapterThis fits the main port on the DWE7491 table saw well.DWV9130 and DWV9150 35mm adaptersThese are the same size, but one is straight and one is angled. They both fit well on in the dust port on the DW716 miter saw, the blade guard port on the DWE7491 table saw, the dust port on the D26453 sander, and all the ports on the DNP615, DNP616, DW6913 accessories for Dewalt routers. The straight one is questionable with the clearance on the DW6913 and would probably get in the way on the DNP615 and DNP616.I ended up using the straight one on the table saw, the angled one on the miter saw (after trimming off 3/16th of an inch), and keeping an angled one in with the router.DWV9160 1 inch permanent adapterThis one took me a minute to figure out. It has a removable metal toothed washed inside and is meant to be hammered onto a 1 inch port and never come off.It would fit the dust port on the D26453 sander, and the ports on the DNP615 and DNP616 accessories for Dewalt routers.I didn't use it for the router because a straight port would get in the way. I used this one (after trimming off 3/16th of an inch) to permanently convert the D26453 sander.DWV9110 and DWV9120These are both two part adapters. They have the same hard plastic end that connects to the airlock on one side and screws into the rubber part on the other side. They might fit some Dewalt tools, but the other options are better. The DWV9120 fits the WEN drywall sander well (bypassing the hose that came with it). I haven't found a use for the DWV9110 yet.Other airlock accessories I don't have-DWV9180Converts from airlock to screw threads. It seems to be for a Porter Cable drywall sander.DWV9315 and DWV9316These are billed as replacement hoses for the Dewalt dust extractors, but I think (not sure) that they have male and female airlock ends and can be used as airlock extension hoses. There also seems to be an airlock Y-hose that wasn't released in the US.DWH200DInteresting dust collection for Dewalt drills. The end doesn't look like airlock, but it is according to the product information.DWV2759B and DWV2759Airlock cleaning accessories.

Stop scrolling! how to connect DeWalt shop vac to most DeWalt tools
If you have scoured the interest for weeks or purchased (and ultimately returned) every adapter you could find trying to hook up that DeWalt shop vacuum you purchased from Costco (DXV10SA or similar) to any or all of your DeWalt tools without modifications or duct tape, then I have all the answers for you!First, I call all dimensions what they measure, which may not be what DeWalt calls them (e.g. DeWalt refers to the DVV9000 as taking a 1.25” hose, but it doesn’t). See my pictures. Here are the things you’ll need:DeWalt jobsite table saw to 1.75” vacuum hose = DXVA11-2100 adapter. It adapts from the 2.25” opening on the back of the table saw to fit the hose which came if the vacuum – assuming that hose has the 1.75” end.DeWalt Miter Saw and any other DeWalt tool with that funny special dust port coupler (DCW210 orbital sander, hand planer, biscuit joiner and I am sure other tools) = DWV9315 hose with ends, extra DWV9000 and DWV9140.The DWV9140 adapts the 2.25” opening in the vacuum itself to one of those special coupler ends. The DWV9315 hose has one male and one female coupler end, which can be unscrewed and swapped around as needed. Replace the male end with the DWV9000, making a doubled ended hose. One will couple to the tool and the other the DWV9140There may be other ways to do the same things, and perhaps a less expensive way, but this was my all DeWalt parts solution. You may ask why DeWalt would make this so difficult, and while I don’t have an authoritative answer for you, and can say that the shop vacuum has considerably less power than an actual dust collector. And even with a good filter it isn’t 100% dust free.Hope this helps shorten someone’s internet searches.

Tons of confusion, but that's nothing new for this sort of thing
Look, I totally get it. The actual part doesn't match the photo, either here on Amazon or on DeWalt's own site. That's stupid, it really is. But honestly, is that any different than anything else in the dust collection area? The amount of time I've spent trying to find the correct fittings/adapters/hoses/clamps/couplers/whatever in order to simply pull wood dust through a tube is absurdly ridiculous. It seems like even if you know precise ID/OD of everything, you're still going to end up making several trips to the store or returns to Amazon.I'm sure I've spent at least a couple hours across three trips to Woodcraft just in the dust collection area, trying to figure out what connects to what. Even when an adapter has a listed ID/OD, I've found that it often doesn't match that. So at this point I've given up and I just buy these things and return the ones that don't work. The reason I'm giving this product 4 stars is that it works for me. It fits the router table I have perfectly, it fits in my band saw's dust port. It fits in other stuff I have lying around. I ordered one, but I'll be ordering a couple more so I can leave them in the tools. So yeah, dust collection is maddening and this product listing isn't helping, but I like the product I got.

Fits Triton surface planer
This item is nothing like its Amazon photo, but its a good fit to join the Triton TPSL152 to the DeWalt DWV9000 hose-end connector for standard 32mm vac hose.

Connects to the DeWalt DWE7491RS Table Saw
I had recently purchased the DeWalt DWE7491RS Table Saw and wanted to connect it to connect it a DeWalt dust extractor that had the DWV9000 at the end of the hose. I ended up contacting the DeWalt support and they came back and said that this would fit. I've just tried it out and the adapter firmly fits inside the dust output port of the table saw once it's pushed all the way inside. The fit is tight enough so that dust won't come out and the force from dust and air won't push the adapter out but it's easy to take the adapter out after your done. If you want the adapter to stay in the dust output port on a more permanent basis then I'd suggest taping it in.Thanks to the DeWalt support team for taking the time to try it out before answering me back instead of saying, "We don't know."

It doesn’t fit anything, you need another adapter
It doesn’t fit anything, you need another adapter to fit that adapter. I figured out better way.
