I have 3 felines dictators in my home so I got this to entertain them.... They love it,Here are the results of the initial first try...I turned it on and set it down then turned to dictators and said... ' save me it's the red dot of death'sCat one... Layed down in reach and lazily swated at itCat two... Stoled my bra and ran for the living room (priorities I guess)Cat three... Glared at me to imply I needed a bribe of soft food firstIf I need them to save my life I'm gonna be in real trouble.Since then they have all regularly chased the dot.Update... Have had it now for just under six months..... It has provided endless mixed enjoyment, but yesterday the dot stopped spinning. It still has a dot and it still chirps, but it no longer turns.

Rotties Love it Too
The media could not be loaded. My friend gave me this as a gift for my Rottweiler since her cat didn’t like it. My pup loves this thing. He broke the first one and I must say it’s very durable for being played with my an animal 10x the size of the intended. It lasted us about 3 months of being batted, chewed on, and chased. I had to get him another as soon as it broke. He has learned to turn it on and can play anytime. This is great for when I want to be lazy and play Xbox. Even when the spin function broke on the first one the laser still shined and he could still play with that.

My cat loves this
The media could not be loaded. The only part about this toy is that the laser doesn’t shoot far enough in my opinion, oh and it doesn’t run very long. Maybe it’s that my cat loves this so much I’m constantly turning it onThis is an update…Luna still loves this ball more than any of her other toys but today it died on her. The laser does not move and I tried everything while she sits here and whimpers for me to get it to work. I called Amazon and they couldn’t just replace it but they did refund my $18. Now the ball is $21.99!!! Plus she has to wait for about 10 days to get it. 😠 and that’s for prime. I haven’t decided if I’m going to get another ball or not. By that time she will have forgotten about it.Update… we have received our second ball and Luna is finally happy again. I’m serious she was depressed for about 5 days without it. The only issue was that for some reason this feather part won’t stick to the ball on this one but I saved the one that went to the old ball and it sticks to the ball so everything is good and we are all happy again. Thank you Amazon and thank you to the seller. This is a fabulous item! ♥️

Too many design flaws.
This would be five stars if not for a few fatal design flaws. My rambunctious, easily bored kitten loves this thing above all other toys I've ever gotten her; she's a Maine Coon and needs much more attention than most other housecat breeds, and static toys just don't do it for her when she needs something that actively engages her--and since I have to work to buy her kibble, I can't make playing with her my full-time job, as nice as that would be. *When* this toy is functional, it caters to her need not just to chase, but to pounce and tussle; she loves tackling the ball and making the laser go wild off its present paths, then chasing it around the erratic zig-zags that result from its rocking.Notice I said *when* the toy is functional. And herein lies the problem(s):1. It takes two hours to charge for four hours of runtime. That's...really terrible efficiency. 1/3 of the time on the charge for 2/3 of the time utilization.2. The feather attachment doesn't stick on securely. You have to wet it to make the suction cup stick, and once it dries your cat will yeet it right off and toss it in a corner somewhere.3. The longest runtime is 15 minutes. That's not nearly enough for an active cat. It's really frustrating to have to stop what I'm doing every 15 minutes to turn it back on. Except it's more than every 15 minutes, because...4. ...the way it's designed means it's very easy for it to turn itself off with an engaged cat batting it around or pouncing it. Within 1-2 minutes of turning it on, my kitten will inevitably roll it over at just the right angle that the power button rolls against the ground and it turns itself off. The button's much too sensitive, poorly placed, I don't know, but what's the point of even turning it on at this juncture when in 60 seconds my kitten will be looking at me all forlornly like "Fix it, Daddy?" as soon as she really got into play?If they fixed problems 3 and 4, I'd be willing to overlook 1 and 2. But as it is, this thing is just basically an obstacle on the floor now because it's too much hassle to keep it on.

STOPS WORKING
My cats loved it and it stopped working. I ordered another and it happened again. The laser light no longer moves. It stays ij a locked position. I tried contacting the seller but I was unable to.

Great
My cat just turned 1 back in February so he still has the kitten instincts in him. This toy is very entertaining. For both the cat and us. There have been times where he’s knocked it around the floor trying to get the laser light.

Hold charge alright, but motor wears out too quickly
I’d really love to give this one 5 stars, but I’ve had it barely a month and the motor that turns the laser is already broke/dead… I only turn it on two-three times a day for the cats and they go bonkers for it; I don’t feel like I over used it to make it die so quickly… It’s their favorite toy and it took them all of a week to learn the word ‘ball’ - I’m so sad that it didn't last longer…
