Superb Product
The best Reed for alto Saxophone.i have been playing Saxophone professionally since last 10 years and have tried many reeds including Rico,Vendoren traditional blue,Vendoren Jazz,Vendoren Java but this Plasticover reeds is the best with a long life and smooth stressless playing.

Overpriced?
Sellers have marked the prices above MSRP.Plays ok, sounds bright but the tone isnt that good. Lasts just a little longer than the orange-box Ricos.

After few hours of playing it chipped. The sound is not vibrant as normal Rico reeds.

You get our of your breath easily if you are beginner
Bamboo coated with hard plastic. Very difficult to blow. You get out of your breath easily if you are a beginner, and on top of it, the lower notes will not be played because of the hardness. Try a 1.5 strength bamboo/ cane reed instead!
