If I'm using for asbestos do I need to throw away filter after use?

I dont really know the answer but I am guess for health and safety reason I would wear a mask and suitable protective paper coveralls and try to clean clean it out in a well ventilated place. If that dont work then replace it. I'm no expert so might depend on how much asbestos you plan to clean up or hoover up. Health comes before cost for me.

Is this filter open at both ends? I need a filter which is only open at one end to fit an old dust extractor. Thanks

It is opened on both ends but comes with a cover that locks onto either end

If they should do, I did not get one

Does the HEPA filter reduce suction compared to the standard white filter as its presumably thicker?

I've been using the Hepa filter for about a month and have not observed any reduction in suction.
