Good Power Strip
Build quality feels fine. There are 7 outlets, most of which have a normal amount of space between them, and one at the end with extra space for any devices that need more room. It connects to a wall outlet with a 90 degree bend. The cable is long enough to be used in a standing desk as long as there is an outlet close to the desk.

Really handy flat plug.
Well one day I realised I had some power strip/ surge protectors that were way past their usage life. Seriously people, check your electronics. This stuff wears out.I couldn't find exact replacements but these seem to be improved from what I replaced. They also take up less room than the old items I replaced.

Basic Protection
Did you know surge protectors are supposed to go bad over time? This is usually not that hard to figure out - if the light is off, swap the strip. But.. what if the light never turns off?Well, you might have the world’s best power strip, or you have been had. Maybe the power strip never had a fuse. Maybe the light is not wired to the fuse. Maybe the power is not wired to the fuse. Or, and this is my favorite, maybe the failure mode of the fuse holder is to.. continue to supply power.Seriously, some of these manufacturers will go any length to not have to explain how their product works to the customer. So if you find that some of your deployed equipment dies a smoking death during a thunderstorm, but your power strip guarantees that everything is a-okay protected… but yourself a fresh power strip.

House hit by lightning - first power surge
My house was hit by lightning, and we experienced a power surge. I had my PC on and plugged into this power strip, so at first I was I was very concerned. However, my PC remained functional and no hard drive data was lost and no issues were found.

Go-To Power Strip
I have tons of electronics that I need to power from time to time and this APC surge protector and power strip is always my go-to. It's high quality, has a right-angle 45 degree plug, making its socket footprint very small, and I have experienced its surge protecting capabilities myself. I trust this product and will keep sticking with APC for the such.

Convenient size, excellent plug spacing and surge protection is accurate.
I've had the pleasure of a few of these going through a massive surge. They did their job but i had to replace them. I took them apart to confirm the amount of protection as well. The size is great for tucking away, plug spacing manages to fit most plugs without blocking.Something to keep in mind if your home got hit by lightning or an electrical fault that it's better to err on the side of caution in these situations and just replace them. The protection does "run out" over enough surges and this won't always result in the strip not working to supply power. It'll keep "working" but not to prevent surges. Cheap insurance really.
