What a difference! I have suspected that I've suffered from depression since my early teen years, but I've never been diagnosed by a doctor. Not wanting to be put on prescription meds that would zap me of my emotions, I decided to give this a try.It's only been a week and a half and I can tell you the difference I feel is nothing short of amazing. Another reviewer stated something correctly: This is not a cure all. You will feel your rough edges smooth out after about a week of use. I'm only about a week and a half in so I can't wait to see how I feel after weeks of consistent use. It feels good to not walk around feeling as if the world is on my shoulders. It feels good to smile :)I've felt no side effects so far (as far as nausea, fatigue, etc) only contentment. Do not expect to wake up in the morning surrounded by rainbows and butterflies. And please remember that you have to be consistent. 2 or 3 days is not enough for it to take effect.DO NOT GIVE UP. Some say it takes 2-3 weeks to kick in but I bet you'll feel it sooner. Please give it a try. It's cheaper than any drug or doctor's visit anyway right?I'll never go another day without it. I just wish I would've found this 10 years ago.

I used to take 300mg of the same every day, and tried these 600mg SJW from Planetary and they are just fine; since they stopped making the 300 full spectrum. If they should become too much, I will use a pill cutter on them for 300mg in the future. It's a win-win!!!

Live in severe overcast sky part of country (approximately 6-8 weeks without sun in late fall). Have had SAD (seasonal affective disorder) and do not want to take anti-depressants.This takes a few weeks to kick in but have noticed reduced irritability and lethargy.Please be advised that everyone's results could be vastly different but this worked for an "in excellent good health" woman of 67 who also walks 3 miles a day, takes calcium w/vitamin D and IS NOT on ANY other medications .

I suffer from night terrors and have found taking St. John’s Wort eases the symptoms. This particular product, however, boosted my mood noticeably. It is a concentrated pill, not a capsule. The odor is strong with the herb instead of fillers. I find this a superior product.

I'm not sure if it's a placebo or it helped but there were a few days I noticed I seemed a bit more optimistic during a few of the days.

This was my first time taking St John's Wort and I found the 600 mg dosage to be too much for me. I experienced nausea, light-headedness, lethargy, and difficulty concentrating. I bit the pills in half (which tasted unpleasant) and the symptoms disappeared. I would suggest a lower dosage to start.Note: St Johns Wort is a libido reducer.

Maybe not an immediate fix but I can tell an improvement in my general mood over time taking these. I have taken them for several years now and when I stop for a while (no problems, just get lazy! ) anyway I can tell the difference. I am calmer and happier. Wow that makes these a great buy!

It works fine I take one a day with my gnc whole food women's daily active multivitamin. I can't take two because it is a little too strong for me and keeps me from falling asleep at night.
