The Sony Alpha 7 IV is a powerhouse full-frame mirrorless camera that truly lives up to the hype. Whether you’re a professional photographer or an advanced enthusiast, this camera offers outstanding image quality, fast autofocus, and impressive video capabilities. The 33MP sensor delivers stunning detail and dynamic range, making portraits, landscapes, and low-light shots look incredible. The autofocus system is remarkably accurate and fast, with real-time Eye AF that locks on to subjects with ease, whether people or animals.Video creators will appreciate the camera’s 4K 60fps recording with 10-bit color depth, providing cinema-grade footage straight out of the camera. The in-body image stabilization is effective, making handheld shooting smooth and reliable. The ergonomics and build quality are excellent — comfortable grip, intuitive controls, and weather-sealed body suitable for tough conditions. The fully articulating touchscreen adds versatility for vlogging and creative angles.Battery life is solid for a mirrorless, and the dual card slots offer peace of mind for professional work. Overall, the Sony Alpha 7 IV is a top-tier camera that balances performance, innovation, and usability perfectly.Highly recommended for anyone serious about photography and videography!

Great quality
Love it. My first "real" camera and it's everything I could have hoped for. I was going to join the Canon family but Sony has so many more lens options with the off brands. I don't use video much so can't comment there but I spent a week with it recently in Yosemite and the images were amazing. Well worth the money.

Amazing Camera
After 15 years of shooting exclusively with Nikon DSLRs, I finally made the switch to mirrorless. It was a big change, but I haven’t looked back. Sony continues to lead the mirrorless market, consistently pushing innovation while Nikon and Canon have spent years trying to catch up.The Sony A7IV is a perfect example of that progress. The build quality is excellent, with a solid, professional feel in the hand. The controls are well thought out, and the layout is intuitive. Coming from Nikon, there was a bit of an adjustment period, but once I got comfortable, the system felt fast, efficient, and well-designed.One of the biggest standouts is the autofocus. Face and eye detection are incredibly accurate, even in tricky lighting. It locks on and stays locked, which has saved me from missing countless shots. The 33MP sensor delivers sharp, detailed images with plenty of resolution for cropping or heavy post-processing.Battery life has been much better than I expected for a mirrorless body. I regularly get over 2,000 shots on a single battery during multi-hour shoots. The dual card slots are another huge plus for professional work—no one should be shooting serious jobs with only one card slot. And with strong performance in both stills and video, this camera is a great option for hybrid shooters. If you're thinking about moving from DSLR to mirrorless, or just upgrading your current gear, I highly recommend the A7IV. It’s a versatile, professional-grade camera that delivers consistently excellent results.

Great upgrade from an APS-C but one flaw
Coming from an A6400, this is a great camera. The Menu system upgrades are much more intuitive. The pictures and video are crisp and the focus capability is top notch. All that being said, where the hell is the flippy screen? This sideways flip screen for creators is a downgrade even from the a6400. I'd pay $500 more for the fully articulating screen like is on the A7RV...

Takes amazing video and pictures
I bought this after being a Canon shooter for over 10 years. I needed a camera that could handle low light and Sony is great for low light photography. It was easy to adapt to, the camera takes amazing pictures and videos and I really don't have many complaints. It did overheat a couple of times, but I was shooting video pretty nonstop in 100 degree weather. In regular conditions I have zero problems. I'm sure most of the quirks are pretty common in most cameras. I bought this after the A7V came out, and I love that it was cheaper and probably not drastically difference in quality. Would highly recommended to anyone looking for a camera in this price range. I'm sony for life now!!!

As of 2025, you gotta love the a7iv
Theres a reason people are always talking about this camera. Professional photo quality, professional video, this thing feels like a dream to use. Full frame that as of right now is the hybrid to end all hybrids. It had loads of functionality, and really, unless you want to spend an extra 2k, you wont really find anything of this quality for this price. If you need a hybrid camera, and you have the budget, get the a7iv. (It also helps a ton that there are other lenses for the sony cameras, personally I've been loving the Tamron lenses, because you don't have to spend a fortune to get great lenses, like you would be forced to with different brands.)
