This seems to me to be an absolutely outstanding guide for doctoral supervisors including those who already have some experience, and it is also a source which PhD students could very profitably use in thinking through their way through the PhD and their working relationships with supervisors. Universities trying to improve the quality of supervision should start by getting a bulk order.
