Phonak Stick N Stay

Q: I got these and recieved no instructions on how to use them. Could someone please help me!!!

My husband has used these for several years. He peels off the plastic backing and sticks it to the back of the hearing aid for each ear. Then your hearing aid will stick and stay behind your ears.

Q: How does using these compare to putting a retention lock on the receivers?

Both items do the same job of helping hearing aids stay in ears, but they function differently. Retention locks are a plastic tail installed on the receiver that stays on the hearing aid long term and applies a slight amount of tension to help hearing aids in. Stick 'n Stay stickers work more like double-sided tape to hold aids in place. They are disposable and must be reapplied. It's a matter of personal preference which is more comfortable to someone.

Q: Is the tape strong enough to dance ballet - think multiple, fast pirouettes.

It is a pretty strong attachment to either the hearing aid or your skin. But...I have not experienced it when sweating, which might accompany your dancing...but since I do not do ballet...?
