Rocky 1-6 Bundle

I must have watched all of his movies at least ten times, so since my son would also enjoy it I gave all the Rocky 1 to 6? to him although I`m sure at one point i will want them back. It`s so engaging, you start watching you can`t stop

Quick and dirty review. Bought before CREED II (since it is some kind of sequel to Rocky IV) I wanted to revisit. My choice was between the 20 dollar set with no "movie cards" or the 25 dollar set with the movie cards. The packaging otherwise is exactly the same. (There may be a 5 page rocky phamplet in the larger set - but it's nothing. The five dollar set comes down to the cards - and in retrospect, I could have nicely lived without them and saved 5 dollars.That said - for 20 dollars, you get all six films on blu ray. ROCKY went though a 4K remaster and looks very good - probably the best it's ever looked. Tons of extras including a fairly recent (2006) commentary track but there is tons of Rocky stuff on disc 1. Rocky 2 - great movie. Weak transfer. Soft. On my Sony 4K I got a LOT of ghosting. But it's fine. ROCKY III - uptick in quality since it's a newer film. Grain in all these but I like it. You do notice immediately the movies go from character studies to the specificity of the fighting rivalries. One and two seem like two sides of the same coin. Same for 3 and 4, although 3 tries harder and 4 much more garish. That said - there's TONS to love about both of them. Rocky IV might be the most 80s movie ever. But I grew up on, I loved it, and of those middle numbers its one of the much better transfers and the soundtrack is great. A decent transfer still doesn't make me love ROCKY V. I suppose it's cannon, although I would almost argue one could go from 4 to 6 and skip 5. The only thing is there is no explanation of the money loss - although I think I'd live with that. It's okay not to know every detail. I understand there is a much better version of ROCKY V on the internet that is a director's cut with tons of different takes and that it's better movie. I might have to seek it out. ROCKY BALBOA is towering - a fantastic human finish to the saga that leaves everything in it's right place and the Blu-Ray is spectacular. Great transfer and tons of extras including Stallone commentary. For 20 bucks - YES. No - brainer. Util they go 4K, and the studio gets serious about restoring 2, 3 4 and 5 along with Stallone commentaries - this is the best ticket in town.

This is by far the best way for any Rocky fan to collect all the movies if you are not into those one case collections. It's such a good price for 6 brand new matching copies of these masterpieces. And they are also remastered as well. Definitely get this bundle if you need all or most of the movies.

You can't beat the price for the entire set. So glad I was able to find this!

Absolutely love these movies! Bought as a gift for my boyfriend and he loves them. All of the movies came exactly as pictured - no dents on the movie boxes or anything.

It’s Rocky! What else can be said these classic (some better than other) movies. Sylvester Stallone is great and the boxing combined with the story and soundtrack is so iconic it gives me goosebumps every time. I truly love thes movies and everyone should see them at least once.

Just received all 6 Rocky films on blu-ray. The 40TH Anniversary Heavyweight Collection. And it is awesome. But the description talked about character cards and collectible artwork. I did not receive those as I thought that's what I paid for. I really wanted those as part of the collection.
